What the heck is going on with these trades.....
Soul Bro replied to CoachTsurfing's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
What I can't believe is that Chicago didn't get Pau. They have now blown it, and I mean blown it, twice. First, they could have had KG and were too stingy. Now there's the Gasol situation. Paxson is a moron in the trade department. Regarding the Magic, I doubt Otis wanted to take on Pau's contract, though I'm sure we as fans wouldn't have minded. Trust me guys, Otis is working the phones. Haslem is the targeted guy. -
The target is Udonis Haslem.
-
Karahan, welcome to the boards, by the way.

They play different positions

You guys know I like it

Otis has no plans to make trade before deadline.

Don't believe Otis. He's playing poker and is looking for a pf. -
Haslem is on his way to Orlando!

Childress would be nasty! He is easily one of the most underrated players in the league. -
Yes, the only reason Smush is included is to make the deal work. And, no, it doesn't address our need for a pg upgrade.
-
We need a starting pf. Playing small will get us worn out over time. Here's the ideal: Orlando Magic Incoming Players Udonis Haslem Salary: $6,050,000 Years Remaining: 3 PTS: 12.3 REB: 9.4 AST: 1.5 PER: 13.02 Smush Parker Salary: $2,250,000 Years Remaining: 1 PTS: 4.8 REB: 2.1 AST: 1.7 PER: 5.68 Outgoing Players: Pat Garrity, Carlos Arroyo Miami Heat Incoming Players Pat Garrity Salary: $3,818,750 Years Remaining: 1 PTS: 2.1 REB: 1.8 AST: 0.6 PER: 0.23 Carlos Arroyo Salary: $4,000,000 Years Remaining: 1 PTS: 6.8 REB: 1.8 AST: 3.7 PER: 13.38 Plus, include a first round pick. This would clear cap space for Miami and give us our pf. P.S--I believe our 2nd greatest need is a pg.

Hedo15, welcome, too. The bottom line is wins and losses. IMHO, Los and Dooling are career back-up pgs and best in that role. I actually like Dooling's game for what it is, slashing, energy and defense. Los' game is confusing b/c it is so erratic. Some nights he looks like Nash, other nights he looks like Ty Lue (which ain't a compliment) or the bad Steve-O.

Welcome aboard. This should be a fun thread.

Brian Cook, plain and simple. He is playing great basketball and has allowed SVG to set a firm rotation. Our wins have come with him being the first forward off the bench and he has produced: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/gamelog?statsId=3727 In January, he is averaging 8.6 ppg and 2.8 rpg in 15 mpg while shooting 50% from three and 51.6% from the field. Those are awesome numbers off the bench. In addition, his defense has been above average. Kudos to him for kicking it up a few notches, kudos to Otis for believing in him, and kudos to SVG for riding him hard and demanding more. Here's to his new-found production continuing.

Confirmed: Kidd Requests trade BEFORE deadline
Soul Bro replied to God hates Magic fans's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
I would love Kidd but we'd have to involve a third team to make it work. -
I'll say this ... Cook cannot only shoot but he can defend the 4 better than Lewis. That being said, we still need a true power forward.
-
In January, Cook is now shooting 52.6% from 3. I'll take that all day. Go Magic!!!

Edit: Okay, here's some of the article: Players probably to be traded: Pau Gasol Shaquille O'Neal, Heat Jason Kidd, Nets Pau Gasol, Grizzlies Tracy McGrady, Rockets Gilbert Arenas, Wizards Ron Artest, Kings Shawn Marion, Suns edit: summarize. [read hutch's post]

Actually, the guy that was completely torched was Rashard. His offense was ghostly, while his defense resembled a palm tree in a hurricane force gale.

Dear Otis, Please rescue me from this crevasse of doom known as Miami. Udonis
