When I have been there JJ has always been the first or second to arrive. The Friday at Summer League when I saw JJ and Stan talking they did not look "barely cordial". The were friendly to each and chatted for awhile. At the end of their exchange JJ walked over and watched some of the games, not looking upset or like any negative had occurred. Just my 2 cents... Good two cents. Thanks

    Dooling a sign-n-trade with Nets

"And an hour later, we're hearing it's "very close" to being done. As we wade through the saga of Richie Sexson at the Stadium ("A change of scenery is good") all indications are the Nets are going to get Dooling for that $3.3 trade exception and cash. Should be announced next week. That makes 16 and virtually insures someone gets bought out or the Nets do a 2-for-1 down the road." http://blogs.nypost.com/sports/nets/archives/2008/07/dialing_for_doo_1.html
  4. Thanks, KITNO. Have a good trip.

Yeah, it's pretty bad but some of the best hyperbolic comedy out there. I would go as far to say "Classic" but plenty of questions for the Soul Bro! I am just joking, nothing wrong with a good laugh!!! I'll take it that all is quiet on the insider front?? Ha! Yeah, it is a good one. It is DEAD quiet right now. Nobody is saying a thing.

IMO, VIP could mean a lot of people "in the know." Media? Family members? Friends? Lovas (ala SNL ... okay j/k)?

I hear you, Dave. No offense taken. What is funny about basketball is that, compared to other sports, not a lot of moves can be (will be) made on a year-to-year basis. That is not saying there isn't a lot of activity going on behind closed doors. If you look back, much of the "inside info" posted, at least from me, had to do with discussions taking place. Drafting a SG, targeting Maggette for the MLE, passing on Arthur for health concerns, passing on CDR and Dorsey for character concerns, and so on. Even the latest, this info about Critt, was insider info ... info the public did not know. Does this insider info mean it will happen? No. But what I like about it is that it lets us read how our organization is working hard to put a winner on the floor. Go Magic!

Welcome, BigPapa! Good to have you!

    Biggest Hater Award

Does this exist? Was this part of the Garrity awards? While we wait out the dog days of summer, I thought this might be a fun thread. Who on this board is the biggest hater of "blank" player?
  15. New Info: Had we missed out on Lee in the draft we had a deal in place to move back in the draft and acquire two picks.
  16. KITNO, as I've said to you privately, I would be happy to land either Critt or Lowry. Right now, Lowry is the better player and the one I actually prefer.
  17. Smack, I might be stating the obvious, but I don't think Otis really wanted Keyon back as our back-up pg, at least not at 3.5 mil/year. Am I okay with that? Sure. IMHO, I really like the additions of AJ, MP, and CL. They all have defined roles at positions that needed makeovers.

    Biggest Hater Award

Okay so I will start. I think the biggest hater award goes to Knappy. His hate of Los (b-ball wise) is astounding and entertaining.

Not yet, but that just gives me another project to work on. Ha-Ha I'll keep diggin and prodding to the best of my ability. Has Otis noticed the tent or the wire tap equipment yet? Or the guy from the FBI that you know that is going along with you saying you need to tap Otis' line in fear of terrorist activity thus allowing you to get the info. you need on trade possibilities. Junkie is wild. You never know where he is on a given day. The man is passionate about the game and these b-ball types take to him. Remember Uncle Rico's love for football? Junkie's love for b-ball trumps that all day.
  22. As an FYI, neither Junkie or I post on realgm.com. Guys, thanks for the props but it isn't necessary. We are just simple fans like you all. I so wish I still lived in FL so I could throw fantastic tailgate, grill-out, pre-game parties. Go Magic!
