This is an interesting event and opportunity. Instead of trying to land a superstar, we could use our trade exception to land young assets from teams looking to clear cap space. Would NJ move Lee for cap space and a second rounder? Miami with Beasley? It doesn't necessarily follow the win-now plan, but it does present solid pieces for the long haul.

Back to Amare, here's what I've found out. Interestingly, Amare's mentor and some important others in his life DON'T want him playing in central FL for fear he might get tied in with his old crowd or "element." I am trying to find out what Amare himself wants to do. Sorry for the confusion.
