We have to hope Bron doesn't drop 100 on Quentin, but JJ on Kobe is "okay"?
Come on, now. We're gonna get lit up by all of them. We can only hope that making them work on the defensive end burns their energy some.
They both are a different type of player and both play different positions. In size, LeBron could suit up TE for your pro football team. He can get to the rim with force, gets to the line, and can hit the three. Kobe's smaller than Lebron, takes more jumpers and Howard or the nearest defender could alter those shots. He's still going to get his numbers though by getting to the line and being efficient as he can be. I'm just saying we have a better chance of JJ guarding Kobe than Q covering Lebron.

Don't really have the replays to watch or some crazy stats, but I'm pretty sure Hedo was as good, if not better than anyone we had 2 seasons ago or since then. Could be wrong, but I really don't think' Hedo's post entry was terrible.
He had the ridiculous ability to lob alleys up to teammates though. Especially on in-bounds plays B)

Verajao is a no in my book. I'd take the Batman over him, but that's why I'm not the GM.
-
I always get attached to my Magicians, but I've slept on it, moved on, and can't wait to see how this new team works out.
One thing that's really frustrated me this season is the inability of guards to pass it into the post when Dwight is open/before he gets 3 seconds. Jameer is just too short, not his fault, but hopefully taller perimeter guys like Arenas and Turk will get Dwight the ball at the right moment.
PS, nobody has ever been better than Hedo at 'ooping Dwight (ask Tim Duncan).
Yeah, but Hedo's entry passing to the post was terrible.

That picture makes me sad.
I know, he's going to do well over there as the go-to guy. Wall will command attention from the defense and then BOOM Rashard for three. I have a feeling the Seattle Shard will show up for Washington.
-
Might get bashed for this, but I think JJ could do okay vs Kobe on the perimeter. Like he mostly does if his opponent drives, he funnels him to Dwight where he eats up shot attempts.
Put Q on LeBron and hope to the gods that he doesn't drop 100. Either get a perimeter defensive stopper *cough* Dooling or go to the zone.

Honestly, I say we explore the wire instead of trading the rest of the team.
-
I really want Troy Murphy............He's sitting behind Humphries and Favours (which must be quite insulting)..........He is a fantastic rebounder and can shoot.......
I can't imagine we'd have much of a problem getting him with one of JJ, Q Rich and Duhon being surplus to requirements now.
Especially Duhon
I'd rather have Humphries. But for all we know, Otis is getting Amare http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=24eb8r5

We Win. Dwight dominates with new found energy. New acquisitions struggle early, but catch fire in 2nd half. We may see a lot of isolation plays.
-
Larry Sanders anyone?
-
Maybe Sheldon Williams is an option? He played Center in college and has chemistry with Redick and Duhon, who I would assume would play a majority of his minutes with.
I think he's a solid PF. If we put him at center, it is like having Bass at center and without a mid-range threat.
-
Do you even realize what you're saying? Not about money?
Continue to talk yourself into this trade.....
lol, I'm pretty sure I'm trying to do that. Lets see if he can prove me wrong.
-
Lol, you know that's an old highlight when J Kidd is still on the Nets.
Signing a free agent is the best case from a financial standpoint, but from a talent standpoint, we're best off making another trade
hahaha yeah, but he's still young and fresh. The Nets waived him last year I think.
I wonder if there will be another trade. I mean, we would have new players at every position. Could our team click in order to excel come playoff time?
-
Can someone just tell me what the cap situation will be like when Dwight is a free agent (given he accepts his player option)? Not too good, right?
I'm pretty sure, whatever the situation is, we'll clean house for Dwight to come back.

Dude's on the wire and would probably play for under a mil.
-
He's going to give up 20 mill because he's friends with Otis?? I don't know of too many friends that pass up 20 mill.
He gave up $16 mil. in his current contract, just for the sake of the team....the team he just left.

According to Vince Carter Online, Wince will wear #25.
My football number ;)
-
So I was playing NBA 2k10 (I'm getting myself 2K11 for X-mas) on Xbox LIVE, whoopin behind as usual lol. But everytime I made a basket with Rashard, VC, Gortat or MP I felt so depressed. It was this feeling of "YEAH, cashed a three!" followed by "Well, we don't have him anymore :( ".
Damn, I wish these guys the best.

What if...we made another trade, for a guy like Iguodala. We'd be trading away our whole team basically, but we'd be beastly. We'd have a bunch of "name" guys, but just look at this:
http://games.espn.go...tradeId=27fbuhl
Of course we'd have to pick up some guys off the wire. Maybe Rafer for a 3rd PG and another big.
Our lineup would be:
Nelson/Arenas/J Will
Iguodala/Arenas
J Rich/Hedo
Bass/Orton/Hedo
Howard/Speights
Unlikely, but the point is that this team has potential for some assets to come here over the long haul.
-
Daniel Orton is 20 years old. Holy sh**. Imagine if he develops into a big time center. I'd love that.
-
I was making a Gortat mix too...
EDIT: And I have the damnest feeling that they're all going to kill it when they play us.
-
For defensive purposes, we're either going to have:
Arenas at SG and Hedo at SF, or J Rich at SG and Hedo at SF...the lineup of Arenas at SG and J Rich at SF just does not bode well for us from a defensive standpoint.
-
These moves were horrendous. What would have been the harm in waiting until closer to the deadline to make a deal when teams would be more desperate?
****, we might as well have thrown in Jameer too to get Nash.
That's what I was saying. But still, I'm gona have to embrace this. We have close to 0 defense in our starting backcourt.
-
You know, J Rich to the rack is much more intimidating than a VC to the rack. Oh how time flies...
Defensively Speaking.......
