Honestly, I'm deeply offended when people accuse me of a practice as abhorrent as racism.
I mean, yes, it's true that I hate all people from Turkey.
But that's just because I hate everyone.
Note: I can't believe that I have to explain this, but the above is what's known as "a joke".
I laughed a little inside.
But, it's cool man. Everyone's created equal IMO.
I don't really care what other people think. I mean, if they're openly racist, I'll try to change their mind but if they happen to keep their views, I just focus on how I treat other ppl. Race doesn't matter, and between humans, races actually don't exist. One race is the human race.
You believe in that Quasar?

I'm not going to - rep anyone. Defense does win championships but you also have to be able to score. If we get 3 stops on Miami and we aren't able to score on those 3 trips we are still screwed, we need to have a balance. I would also add that when we have had trouble scoring our defensive energy has taken a hit as well.
Yes, I do agree with you. We need to be able to score efficiently and have the ability to stop our opponents on the defensive end when we need to. Overcompensating on either front would be detrimental to the team.
I thought the first trade, J-Rich for Camby, wouldn't get it done so I conjured up another trade to try and make it equal for both parties.
All in all, we still need a big. Camby isn't the answer I guess
-
Thanks for the input ppl ;) *no sarcasm*. Was just pondering how that trade would work out in my head, needed some good minds to throw some thoughts back at me.
-
I've already stated my opinion on Camby twice. Someone else can take a turn at this.
You don't think Camby is capable of backing up Dwight?
-
We had trouble scoring, so we traded for scoring, that fixed the scoring problem, now we want to trade away scoring?
Defense wins championships. Look at the Celts (- rep me if you want, they are atop of the EC). We still have scoring, but less options to go to. We would become more rounded in our game. Sure, games perhaps would be less exciting, but I think the trades would make our team better not in terms of individual players but as a team.
EDIT: Also, trying to make realistic trades here

Honestly?
I think Nelson is a better player than Miller, and I think Richardson is better than Camby. So outside of making us older, I'm not sure what this trade would accomplish on the basketball side of things.
Getting us the backup center we need. Not only that, he is a top notch defender so when Dwight is out of the game we still have a shot blocker patrolling the paint.
We have a surplus at the PG position, and Miller wants out of Portland. Jameer for Camby straight up would not happen IMO, so the Miller trade was added and it makes sense.
-
I know people have lost hope on acquiring Camby, but would you like this pair of trades with Portland. BTW J-Rich cannot be traded with an additional player.
Jason Richardson for Marcus Camby
Jameer Nelson & Malik Allen for Andre Miller
Portland needs scoring with B. Roy out, and J-Rich and Jameer can supply that. We also have 2 scoring point guards at the moment -- we can acquire Miller who is a great distributor. This leaves Portland with a thin frontcourt however, with Allen taking the backup center role.
I, personally, would not like the trade from a fan standpoint because Jameer is one of my favorite players. J Rich is a great scoring option for us, he hasn't even gelled with our team yet! But from a managerial perspective, we have needs and this would solve the big problem in our rotation.
What do you think? I think we should keep Jameer because of his leadship combined with his ability to hit big shots. Man, it is a hard decision.

We are lucky to have two great point guards repping the same team. This is a luxury and it will come back to help us down the stretch. When one PG is having "one of those days", we have an exceptional substitution promptly awaiting at the scorer's table.
-
we win, J-Rich goes off tonight!
-
This isn't making fun of him by any means. I love Clark and have been praising his game for quite some time. But...
He talks like he's high.
He looks DIRECTLY into the camera. Sharp, I know looking someone in the eye face to face is proper etiquette. But you don't do it in TV interviews. It comes off very awkward.
And the way he said "Alright thanks man" made him sound like an 8 year old boy.
I guess you had to be in the moment. The chat was completely hyped from the win and his contributions to the game. It was just a perfect ending.
All I was askin for, a good explanation. Damn, talking over the internet is hard sometimes

U FOLKS NEED TO GET OFF UR HIGH HORSE AND JUST LAFF!!
I don't find it funny though
-
I simply meant if it was going to bother you that much to lose JJ, you could follow him. As for Nelson, I didn't know you had such strong feelings for the man.
It's all good :shard: . I'd probably follow him, but wouldn't go into enemy territory via the Blazer forum. I watch Blazer games so it'd be cool to see how he'd do in Portland. I hope we keep JJ for a long time though.
Redick and Jameer have higher value than Camby individually IMO. I still don't know how a trade would work since Camby's contract is much bigger than both but Meer and JJ have more value. This is all unless we were to get royally screwed, of course.
I agree my friend. And I didn't look to see if the contracts match, would not do the trade anyways B)
And Jareth, I still say we explore the wire. We can get cheap talent and we've been getting by with Anderson as a backup.
-
you can follow JJ if you have to.
Yeah, but I've stated plenty of times that I am a Magic fan first. You probably haven't seen those posts (I don't blame you, there are so many posts on this board).
Point is, I'd rather keep Nelson and trade Arenas for Camby. Nelson's a leader of this team and is a BIG part of our success.
As for Redick, he has been progressing, and I'd like to keep that asset within this organization. He does the little things and helps with the flow of our offense. He's shown up late in games recently, it would be hard to let him go.
-
there are plenty of Portland Blazers forums.
what's that supposed to mean?
-
Bumping this for the greatness that is Earl Clark.
And btw, looking at the person you are talking to is a sign of respect. Reminded me of this interview here of my favorite player on the Pats:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=53F49bZnPuU
EC looked at the camera to address the audience. When he was looking at the camera, he was grabbing your attention. And for the "alright, thanks man" thing, I would have said the same at the end of the interview. I still don't get it.
BUT as for his on-court performances lately, he brings a lot of energy and hustle. I still can't believe the depth of our team. We have Earl Clark, who can produce if given big minutes, at the latter end of our active players.
-
Probably have to trade Jameer or Redick.
K, lets not get Camby then lol
-
He'd rep the Magic proudly. If he gets in, I'm confident that he'll win it.
-
omg haven't been on TBN in so long. I fell back on the Magic games and I had them taped. Didn't want to come here because it would spoil the results haha. I'm weird like that B) .
So if we get Camby, we're going to be ridiculous, and that will do big things for our second unit defense. What would it take to get him?
(if i'm late on that question, let me know lol)
-
That would be amazing.
Yeah, but we already have a capable stretch 4 in RA. How does this solve our backup center problem?
-
What a game!!! I'm from little old Scotland and I haven't had the pleasure yet of coming to Orlando and experiencing a game but it is a dream that I'm determined to make a reality.
It would be amazing if something similar to this happened on the day I managed it. :)
that would be a journey. If you ever do, and if you wanted to of course, document it to capture the memory. That would be awesome
-
I have this on my iPod and watch it when I wake up every now and then. Gets me pumped for the day lol
-
Let's just trade Q/Duhon for James Posey and TPE for Foster. Ain't our money. Go for broke this year. Do it Otis.
Nelson/Arenas/J-Will on 1 ankle
J-Rich/Redick/Arenas
Turk/Posey/Clark
Bass/Ryan/Foster
Dwight/Foster/Malik/Orton/Rosco
OMG GET IT DONE OTIS
Posey is a championship piece....Foster is a solid backup for Dwight (which fixes our deficiencies there). And we keep Earl Clark :D.
Would do this in a heartbeat, but would Indiana?
-
People are still talking about Wince?
I miss Peaches, and I kind of miss Rashard.
I do not miss Vince at all.
I miss Gortat more than any of them. He was a boss -_-

Turk is reborn in ORL and in the words of SVG, I love his new defensive ENERGY
