What is the lotus position...may i ask
  4. Troy Murphy as the backup center can't be any better than Anderson. RA has been very solid filling that role.

    O'Sentinel's Diaz Just Won't STFU

He's hinted that. You never know with him, but yeah, I think he's done with LA after this year. EDIT: I guess he wants that 3-peat pretty badly

We win. Did Florida see any snow over the last couple days? Up in MA we got a ridiculous amount of snow and I think the storm came south heading north.

    EARL CLARK

If you grab that jersey, I think you will start to notice some changes. As you walk down the streets, I think you'll start to see the masses of people parting way for the sake of your convenience. I think you'll be, how can I say this...untouchable?

It was definitely Phil Jackson who put him up to this :P . Phil and his antics....

    Reacquire Gortat? Whaaaaaat?

RA has filled in nicely... IDK. But yeah, realistically, I'd like us to sign a capable FA big to put Malik on reserves...sorry Malik. Although, it wouldn't hurt to have a guy like Gortat who can step in when RA's shot isn't falling or if someone becomes inactive.

EC will have his jersey retired in ORL. Or at least in my closet.

    Reacquire Gortat? Whaaaaaat?

At some point they need to start rebuilding. Nash isn't going to be there forever, they need to get assets in return while he is still as productive as he is now. I'm not sure what to think of the Phoenix situation, do they even know? And how dare the OP toy with my head jk. I want Gortat back, but that isn't going to happen.

  13. THIS IS TO CREATE AN OPEN FORUM ON A POPULAR ISSUE WITH THE WAR ON DRUGS TODAY. Information has been hidden from the public, and I believe this is something we should discuss. Just posting some VALID and TRUTHFUL information here from credible sources. AUNNUAL CAUSES OF DEATH IN THE UNITED STATES Tobacco - 435,0001Poor Diet and Physical Inactivity - 365,0001 Alcohol - 85,000 1 Microbial Agents - 75,0001 Toxic Agents - 55,0001 Motor Vehicle Crashes - 26,3471 Adverse Reactions to Prescription Drugs - 32,0002 Suicide - 30,6223 Incidents Involving Firearms - 29,0001 Homicide - 20,3084 Sexual behaviors - 20,0001 All Illicit Drug Use, Direct and Indirect - 17,0001, 5 Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs Such As Aspirin - 7,6006 Marijuana - 07 Source: Drug War Facts Secondary Source: WebMD Doesn't Marijuana cause brain damage? (additional WebMD Link) The reason why you ask this is because you probably heard or read somewhere that marijuana damages brain cells, or makes you stupid. These claims are untrue. The first one -- marijuana kills brain cells -- is based on research done during the second Reefer Madness Movement. A study attempted to show that marijuana smoking damaged brain structures in monkeys. However, the study was poorly performed and it was severely criticized by a medical review board. Studies done afterwards failed to show any brain damage, in fact a very recent study on Rhesus monkeys used technology so sensitive that scientists could actually see the effect of learning on brain cells, and it found no damage. But this was Reefer Madness II, and the prohibitionists were looking around for anything they could find to keep the marijuana legalization movement in check, so this study was widely used in anti-marijuana propaganda. It was recanted later. (To this day, the radical anti-drug groups, like P.R.I.D.E. and Dr. Gabriel Nahas, still use it -- In fact, America's most popular drug education program, Drug Abuse Resistance Education, claims that marijuana "can impair memory perception & judgement by destroying brain cells.'' When police and teachers read this and believe it, our job gets really tough, since it takes a long time to explain to children how Ms. Jones and Officer Bob were wrong.) The truth is, no study has ever demonstrated cellular damage, stupidity, mental impairment, or insanity brought on specifically by marijuana use -- even heavy marijuana use. This is not to say that it cannot be abused, however. Marijuana Linked To Lung Cancer? False. Source: WebMD After reading this information...are you for or against the legalization of marijuana? Medical or for personal use? I'm looking for some good discussion, please shy away from going off-topic.

I want a second season so bad. I never watched it till halfway through the season and got hooked when I saw them online. The characters were decent, the plot was engaging IMO....they had a lot of twists. And that musical score was awesome.

    is a global blackout coming?
  16. That's what I've been saying all along. With this specific trade idea, I was pondering another approach. The underlying message here is to say that trades involving Randolph, Dalembert, Camby, etc. probably won't happen for us. I've said before that testing the FA wire would be best for us. If we were to go ahead with a trade, I believe it would be for pieces like these. Role players who are capable of handling and excelling given more minutes. Players who have potential with our coaching staff.
  17. :shard: I'm just thinking, I don't think teams will be willing to deal proven...big name players. Do they want to be part of the conglomerate that builds the force that is the Orlando Magic? Do they want to build up a team that is already Playoff bound and striving for a Championship? The Phoenix trade was fair on both parties and it left us with a kink in our armor -- the backup center/forward. I still say we tryout FA prospects before we do anything. About Webster though -- he can light it up from deep, he can create his shot, he has improved a lot since last season. When he is fully recovered and given minutes, I'm confident that he'll produce. I'm not saying, "Trade J-Rich now", I like the pieces we have (but we have a problem we need to address). My point is that we're setting our expectations a little high for our next move. I don't think we're getting Samuel Dalembert unless he finds the Carmelo in him to demand a trade out of Cali. At that point, it is uncertain if we could come to terms with Sacramento. We need to find a guy comfortable with playing 15 minutes or less to fill in for Dwight when he is on the bench. Pekovic isn't the worst option, and he was excellent in Europe. He hasn't been given enough burn to prove himself in the NBA (and he's one year younger than DH).
  18. Bring on the hate: http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=29w7m5z Webster fits our system well and has progressed considerably since last season. He's been efficient and consistent after he returned from injury with exception to his last game which he went 1-8 from the field. He is half the offense that J-Rich is producing now, but with the right approach, he can be a key part of our team now and for the future. Wesley Johnson could also be an asset to target, but he is too inconsistent and I do not think the Wolves would trade him in a package deal for J-Rich. Pekovic is also a young talent from overseas (don't we all love European center/forwards). He has size at 6'11" and can assume the role Gortat had before, when he was on the team. He can rebound and finish around the hoop. He might not be as athletic as Gortat, but he can catch the ball when it's passed to him. I'll have to say, do not hate on Webster. His stats may be underwhelming, but he is coming off an injury and has recieved fluctuating minutes. He has shown his ability to shoot efficiently (Game Log) and I see a lot of potential in him. He's young and with SVG as coach, I'm confident he'll approach defense like a religion. Just a thought here. We don't have to go after any big name centers, we need championship pieces. Obviously this specific trade will not happen, but I'm looking for something along these lines. J-Rich might not be the one to get traded, but anyone is subject to a trade...except for the dude with the cape.

We win boys, and on national TV. Houston bigs won't b able to contain Dwight, they'll probably double him and then we'll be watering the net with threes. Our life story.

You really like coconut milk :shard:. Is that coconut milk winning streak still going? And yes, despite my hatred for coconut, I'd gladly share some cold drinks with Quasar, yourself, and any other member on the board.
