    Wiggins.

Hield is just hard to trade for. His contract is fine and any trade for him actually saves us a ton of money this year. It's the trade rules that kill us.

That trade still keeps us under the luxury tax next year. It's the following year where we need to make cuts and basically retain fultz-Wiggins-Gordon-Isaac-Bamba okeke plus one guy in the aminu-Ross salary range and keep everyone else lower than 5 million because fultz Wiggins Gordon Isaac would be a presumed 106ish million between the 4 with a luxury tax threshold near 147 million

That’s where it gets dicey. Wiggins may never be what potential says he could be. You would have dedicated a ton of money to a roster that may not have that guy.

I wouldn't trade any assets for just short term playoff help, because we are gonna get boat raced regardless. We can make a trade that costs next to nothing (a second who will never leave Lakeland) for some depth to cover Isaac/DJ, but a guy like Rose will cost too much

LA declined an Caruso/2nd rounder for Rose.

Don’t think the cost is that high

So, you don't think we should give credit to DJ for helping Fultz to get through the tough times in Philly and continued to help him build confidence with the Magic? As was mentioned previously, DJ and Fultz have the same agents.

Is DRose currently better than DJ?

Edit:  DJ constantly communicated with Fultz while he was in Philly.

Without a doubt Rose is better than D.J.

Just thinking out loud. Keeping DJ doesn’t really bother me.

I just want us to get better.

If I had a choice I would pick Morant because he doesn't come with long term injury concerns but pre-injury fultz was a considerably better player than Morant and while we can't ever count on pre-injury fultz again he should end up in the same general area as Morant with normal expected improvement.

    Maybe. Maybe not.

Going with all things we have at this moment, I’m taking Ja and not looking back.

    Like seriously though.

Jonas valenciunas is the closest thing to Vucevic in the league.

Jaren Jackson is probably the closest similar player in the league to Isaac

Jae Crowder is very similar to Gordon

Dillon Brooks is very similar to Fournier

Morant is very similar to Fultz

Deanthony Melton is near identical to MCW.

Solomon Hill is very similar to iwundu

They signed Kyle Anderson for the same reason we signed aminu.

Tyus Jones isn't much like augustin though. That's the big difference. 9 of their top 10 isn't bad though

Morant is averaging 17 and 7. Fultz is averaging 11 and 4.

We're going to mostly stand pat at the deadline because there's really not much out there. We have 2 weeks so maybe things change but it's a weak market. There's not even really a guy we can sit around and argue about whether or not he fits our timeline sitting out there like Conley, Butler, etc of years past.

There's no noise that hield is available but it would make sense that he would be. But his poison pill makes it incredibly difficult to swing a trade today vs waiting until the summer.  to make it work we'd either need to find a third and probably 4th team to shuffle players around or end up in a situation where we're stuck with an extremely unbalanced roster where we're playing augustin-mcw-Cory Joseph bench lineups for the rest of the year.

I could see Chicago making a move but are they ready to cash in Coby White? I don't know.

Denver doesn't seem interested in moving Beasley. Portland isn't trading anyone after Lillard's quotes from the other day other than maybe Whiteside.

New Orleans wants to try to make a run.

San Antonio isn't moving DeRozan now that they're on a 13-10 run.

So we have Sacramento stuff, Minnesota stuff, Knicks vets, Cleveland vets, that's about it other than some small contracts here and there

Anyone from the Knicks that could make us better?

See for me, it isn’t about a star. Be nice but want to 1 move away from Fournier/Vuch and 2 get guys that will mesh with Fultz/JI’s strengths.

    Definition of jaded

1: fatigued by overwork : EXHAUSTEDa jaded horse
2: made dull, apathetic, or cynical by experience or by having or seeing too much of something

I know what Jaded means. I’m none of those things. I’m trying inject some life into this contentment.

    The

attendance is down year to date, how much? Over 10k or about 500 tickets a game. Don't sound like much, it is. At mid-season the #Magic went from 18th to 24th in the #NBA& sit below the dreaded 90% mark & the actual turnstile isn't any better.
