He clearly lacks making those in game adjustments and always sticks to his system regardless of the outcome. If we could get an actual good head coach and keep Clifford as an assistant on the defensive side this team would be faring much better this season. His lack of creativity on the offensive end combined with the fact he uses guys the wrong way is half the reason why we are in this mess. The other half is on the players who have been asked to do more than what they are capable of doing. For example I would never put the ball in Fournier's hands for as much as he currently has it. Evan would be a lot more useful coming off screens for good looking 3’s and slashing to the basket to draw the contact and get to the line. He is an above average finisher around the rim yet we have him running around the perimeter pounding the air out of the basketball for a crazy off balanced shot or dump off to Vuc. Just one of the many examples I could come up with on how this coaching staff is incorrectly using our players. Point being both sides are at fault but it starts with the Coach to set the expectations and hold players accountable when they are playing like trash and to also put the players in the best position to succeed based on their strengths and weaknesses.
Again, those are you 2 best offensive players who shouldn’t be. It’s a roster problem.
-
Man look, it doesn’t matter who’s the coach. This is a poorly constructed roster. You got players in the lineup that their games conflict each other. No big offensive talent. Players who think they’re one thing and really not. 2nd and 3rd options..:The hell is Cliff is suppose to do? Last year and a half dude has been screaming how inept the roster is and the FO wants to be “patient” and “evaluate”. This is all on the FO. Them being so damn experienced should’ve had the evaluation figured out in their first off season.

If he doesn't decline too much from All-Star Vuc he's moveable with a declining contract by the time we need to have money. I wouldn't have re-signed him, but I get the thought process. It's why I want him to finish really strong but us to miss the playoffs. Shows he's not the future, but he's moveable. And it means we probably don't re-sign Fournier. Worst case is he sucks the rest of the season but Fournier plays well enough offensively that we limp into the playoffs and maybe we steal a game or something, making the front office think there's something there.
Context. He was an all star one year, contract year.
I don’t see what you’re going to move him for. Nothing substantial. You don’t win with him as your best player or focal point. He doesn’t defend consistently. I rather have Drummond and look what he was moved for.
Evan? I’m predicting he opts in. Wish he would opt out and we’d say peace but I don’t trust this FO to do that.

Yeah but we should’ve let Vuch go.

11 minutes ago, Gordon MVP said:Agreed. The whole team needs a shakeup. The roster construction is just flat out garbage. Need to rebuild it from the ground up and rid of most of the henny guys.
Can’t keep calling Vuch a Henny guy. Weltman resigned him. He’s an official WeHam guy.

He plays it too safe.

He was but WeHam couldn’t get it done.

7 minutes ago, Fultz4thewin said:I don't think you understand what I said.
Probably misunderstood you. Thought you meant their plan was to see what they got in the year after the playoffs. “Evaluate”.
Still, that’s winging it.

13 minutes ago, Fultz4thewin said:Fultz, Isaac, and Bamba
So their plan is evaluate? First season, evaluate. 3rd season after playoffs, evaluate.
The way they evaluate, it will be 2030.
They don’t have a plan. They wing it. Riley has a plan. Pestri has a plan. Pelinka has a plan. Cuban has a plan. May not be a sane plan but Morey even has a plan. Only thing these two plan is nappy time. Ever see Ed Bassmaster on YouTube? Go watch where he does “Will ya look at that”.

3 hours ago, Fultz4thewin said:With Bamba and fultz coming off injury it's defensible to resign Vucevic as a crutch for a season.
This isn't a "next season" thing though. There's a firm date. Resigning Fournier is a terrible move on its face. Bamba will be going into year 3. We can move on from them with a bit more certainty and roster building opportunities. I accept their plan of "run this back for a season so we don't have to commit to unknowns and see if we can build off of last year's end of season run" this was that season. The time to reset is June-July. Further investment deserves scorn. Moves up to now are defensible.
Unknowns? Who? Fournier, Vuch, AG, DJ, Ross?

i am really worried about magicman28. Hopefully, it wasnt him.Nah. I knew it. As long as this team is 8th and 7th seed, don’t expect much for the next 3 years or so. Maybe 5. I don’t think their priority right now is to win tbh. I think they want to tread water, recycle youth just to keep things interesting and milk the wonderful tourists who come to the arena, spend money, and root for their team.
We will draft another bench player such as Iwundu. Fournier will opt in. We may even give him an extension. We may explore trading AG but probably won’t happen until the next deadline. It will be status quo. Get use to it.

2 minutes ago, All Eyes On Me said:If he opts in we just trade him as an expiring next year or over summer, or at least have the option to. I think he and Vucevic are both very much on the market, we just are limited to what we can get for them now.
Why do you think the market gets better?
-
2 minutes ago, Jay Magic said:If we wanted D-Lo we could of got him then. Simple as. We clearly don't
Yup. Don’t want to hear WeHam’s bs about trying.

I’m confident their chances are better than ours.

5 minutes ago, All Eyes On Me said:Yeah... for those that think the Heat did something brilliant, they didn’t... giving up Winslow for Iggy was bad enough, add in that they signed him to a $15 mill a year extension... it’s a name value trade and that’s about it
Talent and youth wise but if you want to win, you need guys who know what winning looks like. Iggy is old but he takes real good care of his body and knows winning.

What are you talking about? There was a 4 team trade!

2 minutes ago, Fultz4thewin said:I'd like to hear your plan
Great! Give me half of what they’re making, nice office at the Amway and I’ll get right on it.
I mean resigning Vuch couldn’t be that damn hard.
-
Just now, All Eyes On Me said:2 and a half hours and counting. Remember the Fultz deal came out of nowhere 5 minutes before the deadline when we’d all given up hope
Hey, if so, I got no problems saying I’m wrong.
I feel I can predict how everything will play out though.

Lol I’m good man. Moving on is healthy. Drinking? Nah. **** still there afterwards
-
1 minute ago, magicdoc1 said:sh!$@ man.... you need a drink.
I will be as upset and bothered as you are if I dont see any improvements but I still watch. Unless they trade Isaac or Fultz, of course.
We still be making the playoff and will have to wait and see what the summer brings..we still have Fultz, Isaac and Okeke to look forward. Maybe Bamba and AG.
Bruh, I don’t need a drink. I just move on. You can sit and rationalize insanity
-
3 minutes ago, Gordon MVP said:Agreed. I think most people wouldn't be as mad this trade deadline if stuff actually happened last off season to help us retool and get better.
And the crazy thing is we are very likely to repeat the same off season. Resign and lock into Fournier, draft a player who may not even crack the rotation...Nah bruh.
Pay me half of what they’re making. I can do what they’ve done.
