ESPN's Chris Sheridan says Orlando is in the Damon Stoudamire mix
jec replied to BRich's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
The real question is, would Damon have to change his nickname from Mighty Mouse to Mickey Mouse in Orlando? -

I slept through the friggin game. ****it. -
I'm sorry I came out like that, particularly to the man himself because, as has been said, it's looking more and more like an accidental OD. I was really just a bit upset because I enjoyed this man's work and was looking forward to the new Batman. But uhh.. why is it that "okay" is counted as a spelling error according to the spell check. I wonder if okay is even a word. I don't feel compelled enough to google it either.

This game is as big as a regular season game can be. I'm giddy already. -

There had to be some crazy circumstances that we have no knowledge of (if he killed himself). The man is dead, this is saddening ****. And it is bull**** to call him selfish. Taking your own life as a way to escape your issues/problems is selfish, 99% of the time. If you view assisted suicide in cases of terminal illness as a last option etc. then sure, I can agree with that to a degree. Ignoring the impact your life has on other people, be it family, friends, etc. ESPECIALLY when you have children, and thinking only of yourself and your problems is the epitome (my FAVORITE 'radio' word) of selfishness. This is real life, not nintendo. You can't hit the reset button and start over (well, if you believe in karma and reincarnation etc. then maybe). If nothing else (and keeping in mind we dont know if he committed suicide for sure, but assume he did, or just talk about it in general) think about his daughter. Whatever issues he had, whatever difficulties he had in his life, is SHE better off with him killing himself? Is she better off now that her father has taken his own life? Did he honestly consider the impact this decision would have on her and decided that it was still the best move to make? Perhaps it is because I am almost an absurd individualist that I see it okay to kill yourself. I see your point about other people's need for him, but what kind of a father would he have been if he was weak enough and/or affected enough(by some circumstances of which we have no knowledge)? Anyway, I see the point about the selfishness. And I'm glad you didn't make it a religious issue. On a side note, how the hell do you spell "okay"?!

I don't think we are going to have a dynasty as you suggested and our logo is much better than say... the Pacers, which is essentially a big P, and the Bucks. Wait why did the Bucks change their colors to green? They look even uglier now.

That game was pure entertainment. New franchise record for threes, the fans cheering loudest for JJ Redick, and the Magic jacking up 3s up by 22 in the 4th. Classic game for very odd reasons. -

I have a feeling this might be a battle. I'm really concerned about the Detroit game Friday, hopefully the guys aren't looking ahead because as we have seen this Memphis squad can light it up. Now I'm off to light it up. -
Even without a big time point guard we would be elite with Rasheed. He is a perfect running mate for Howard.

Detroit files a protest to the NBA in response to last night's game!!!

Someone posted this: "Good deal for the Magic. Unfortunetly, it looks like the beginning of the end as Penny...err I mean Lewis will inevitably become a ****** and Shaq...I mean Howard, will eventually bolt for a better team. But hey, Good Win!" What?! I suppose we are bound to end up in the exact same situation. Although I don't recall Penny ever becoming a "******" as he so elegantly put it. And the Lakers were not a better team when Shaq first left. -

The best part about that quarter? No half court buzzer beater. -

If Shard is aggressive as he was against the Bulls, we can win this one. -
Slightly off topic, but last night I had a dream we traded Turk for Andrew Bynum. Maybe that's not so off topic, because that is more reasonable. The Suns are gonna ask for a lot more value than we can offer them. Also, guys I don't think Amare would mind splitting touches; he does play with the Suns... they have Nash, Marion, Hill and Barbosa getting tons of touches also.

Well... the Bobcats still have an ugly court and the lighting in their arena sucks. So technically we won. -
