Only in Orlando. I've heard this nationally and let me lay something on you salesman: The security detail at the Finals is given rigorous training and are told that no one is allowed in without proper ID and credentials. They aren't told, "Oh, but if they're famous its OK." This story is being twisted. You see, it wasn't that they didn't believe who he was, it was because he wasn't wearing what he should have been wearing when he entered. Security did their job. It had nothing to do with Orlando. It could have happened in any city. You're right. He should have had his credentials. It must have been a funny scene, the guard calling his captain stating. " I got this 7'2" dude claiming he's Kareem Abdul Jabbar. " Let me ask you this; Would this have happened to Shaq if he was in a similar circumstance ? -

Insighfull post. Unfortunately, one of the main components that add value to a franchise is GODDWILL. Not even a much hyped team like Cleveland will ever achieve that, especially after I've read in a few places, Cleveland's value will decrease by $100 M if Lebron flees. That takes time and the local market would weigh heavy. The Knicks are a prime example. Aren't they the second most valuable franchise in the NBA, and what have they done this last decade ? The added value only means something if you use it's equity or sell of at a higher value. I'd say the owner would prefer to pocket the windfall more than anything else.

I'd be more concerned about how Howard responds after this potential sweep. I wouldn't exactly call this a Bill Buckner moment for Lee. It wasn't exactly a gimmie. He'll be alright.

As Chick Hearn use to say ........

That's a response one would expect from an NBA novice or from that one that suffers the fact the Magic don't have anything close near the quality of what Chick Hearn was. Relying on the comic strips of the OS sports page doesn't help either. I'm sure there's a volume of Chickisms. The one selected was the most apt. This thing is in the fridge . -

What was favorable about the Staples is that it's next door to the convention center which was the venue to NBA Fest during those three days. They'll eventually get it probably just right after.

I'm sure Stern doesn't have confidence it would be ready. I'm also sure he's been briefed on the 11 year old saga just yo break ground.

The butter is getting hard and the jello is jiggling. Two nil starts translate to approx. 94.7 probability of winning all the marbles. This thing is in the fridge. -

Some unconventional lineups that may work
Dancing Barry replied to MrHopper's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
A few days ago I opened up a thread about Lue. Not a great player but this might have been a situation for him. With the Nelson business/ svg is swimming against the riptide. -
HoopsCzar Breaks down the Magic keys in the Championship series

For good reason Nicolas II was the last czar. -

A true, die hard, born and raised Californian, Lakers fan is not torn in this finals. It's Lakers all the way. Like I said in another post, I made an attempt to back the Magic when I moved here from Los Angeles. Couldn't do it.It's all or nothing .In fact, I only trespass Orlando once a year in December when the Lakers come. On that thought, it wouldn't suprise me if ABC makes it the X Mas game next year if it's a decent series.
