  1. Good ball movement until second unit came in. Hampton and Bacon hogging the ball.

    2020-2021 Official Magic Season Thread

    Welcome back and good post.
  3. Apparently it doesn’t matter. We look very ugly.
  4. Yep. Flat. Game kind of dull so far.

Not surprised, considering how badly he rolled his ankle in the last game. It looks like we may get to see a fair amount of Cannady right away.
  6. Completely agree. I was especially impressed by Harris. He’s only 26. I think he’s someone we might want to keep. When Mo comes back it will be hard not to play him over Hall but it sure is difficult to watch him ambling up and down the court, and often out of position on defense, and not fighting hard for every rebound. Overall the biggest issue from my standpoint is that he doesn’t seem to play with much intensity, which is something completely within his control.
  7. We always have trouble against Toronto. They move the ball very well, and play tough defense.
  8. Wouldn’t it be great if we finally found an unheralded player who could exceed expectations?
  9. We can’t lose this game......can we??
  10. Yep. Moving the ball. And it doesn’t hurt that Chicago’s defense is horrible.
  11. What is it with MCW and free throws lately? I realize he’s not a good shooter but he has been ok with free throws in the past.
  12. You’re right. On our side, ball movement didn’t go away so far like it did last game. Been a fun game to watch. Hope that continues.
  13. Even if Bamba is more skilled, it’s so much fun to watch someone playing with intensity and effort.

    Chicago Bulls Draft Pick Watch

I think you summarized the points on both sides of the discussion very well.

    Chicago Bulls Draft Pick Watch

Could certainly happen. It’s why to me it’s not worth creating a horror show on the court for the rest of this season to have fractionally better draft odds. Just my opinion, I know many disagree.
  16. Other than the last paragraph, where I don’t know enough to have an opinion, agree with all the rest. I think Carter is definitely more of an inside presence than Bamba, and seems to go after rebounds far better. What was really disappointing about last night was that we came out moving the ball very well, almost too unselfish, and then after about six minutes it stopped for the whole rest of the game.
  17. That’s fair. I don’t expect anything from the draft picks but I like your optimism, even if I don’t share it at this point. With a little luck, you’ll be proven right and we’ll all be able to enjoy watching the Magic next season.
  18. What will change this group into a competitive team? You think this team is a Fultz and an Isaac short of being respectable (if those guys can even stay on the floor, which is a big if?). We reel off a bunch of losses like this to end the year, we will be in big trouble next year. We need to see some hope that this group can gel a bit. I thought we saw that right after the trades, but as TMF said, it looks like it was a mirage. How we could compete well in Denver with 8 players and then play like this at home is beyond me.
  19. Hard to have much hope for the future when our team looks like this. Most of these players will still be here next year.
  20. Mo did look good tonight. Hopefully it will carry over. Team overall is a mess right now.
  21. Tried to give you an up vote to balance it but I’m out :(
  22. Although I think Clifford is a good coach, to me your concerns at least partly relate to the coaching. If the coach expects people to share the ball and play as a team, he has to hold players accountable when they aren’t doing it.
  23. 4-20 on threes that half. Problem is that they know MCW can’t shoot so they sag off him. Then when he tries to drive he’s usually going into at least two defenders.
  24. That’s at least two turnovers this half on the dribble by MCW.
