I agree pretty much 100% with your comments. My only question regarding Ingles is whether it's a lack of leg, or more the inability to get set properly for his shots due to having no space. My take so far leans more towards the latter.

There do seem to have been problems so far getting Ingles open looks. Wouldn’t be the first time a decent three point shooter from a different (usually better) team came to the Magic and had their percentage drop significantly, because they were able to get more open shots with their previous team. If Ingles is forced to try and create his own scoring opportunities, he will not be effective.

The optimism was typical summer fluff amplified by only a small number of people. As I’ve said many times, hope springs eternal during the summer and then reality hits when the games start to be played. We have just started the season. Way too early to draw any real conclusions at this point. As I’ve also said before, I disregard all the silly stuff said over the summer; this team is going to have to prove to me that they can actually be good.

Wouldn’t seem to make sense to limit minutes for a game three days later. If it were a back to back, that would be one thing. But for a Friday game with next game the following Monday, I don’t think it’s something anyone would consider.

We are undefeated this season

Doesn’t appear we will have a dedicated game thread for our second game of the season, on the road at Portland. Game is at 10PM because it’s on the West Coast. Magic favored by 3 points against a Portland team that starts the season dead last in the NBA power rankings. Let’s get this one and remain undefeated for the season!

Great start. Don’t want to get carried away yet, just one game at home against a Houston team projected to be a bottom dweller. But we did look great, no question. Let’s see if we can build on this, upcoming West Coast road games are a bigger challenge.

It is easy to cheer for this team right now, when we’re 0-0 and hopes are high. It won’t be so easy, if in a couple of months, we’re 12-20 or something. I’m rooting for them too but hopes have been high so many times in the past that they’re going to have to prove it before I believe.

It’s preseason but this was the first game most of us got to see since about 6 months ago, and we didn’t look all that great. Here’s hoping for a successful season, but I’m not taking anything for granted. They’re going to have to prove to me that this team can be a winner.

I’m hoping we are exciting and make the playoffs this year but I don’t have any confidence that we will. After being bad for so long, this team is going to have to first prove to me that they can be good before I’ll believe it. We better not be talking about tanking in Jan-Feb.

Will be good to have something to talk about here, especially when the preseason games start for us which is next week. Three preseason games altogether, 10th, 17th, and 20th. Regular season starts October 25. Been a long offseason without anything major going on.
