That's because you're really Frank Vogel so you don't have a choice :)

Somehow this "young talent" thing is giving me an unhappy sense of deja vu from 4 years ago, but sadly I have to agree that this is probably our best option given the indescribable disgusting mess this team has become.
-
His passing is amazing. Almost half his passes are touched by an opposing player before either being stolen or flying out of bounds. Not everyone can do that.

What flavor gum?

We had a choice, of course, which was not to tank. Why would you want to make your team so terrible that it's hard to fix at a time, when as you say, there were no "game changers" available? That sounds like a strategy that's guaranteed to fail.
-
It was inevitable to draft Hezonja and make the trades we made over last summer? Then why even have a GM?
-
Yes. +1
-
No one said anything of the sort. It was how we responded after he left that was the strategy.
-
Do you think the current roster was inevitable based on our draft position the past 4-5 years?
-
One persons opinion. We see the results of that strategy now. The worse the team gets, the harder it is to turn it around.
-
Yeah. This is great.
-
No, we weren't "forced" to tank. We chose to tank. Big difference.
-
No, but then again their entire plan might not have depended on that.
-
Expectations were lower, guys played harder, and maybe it's my memory but I don't recall us getting blown out nearly as often. Honestly, the way we're playing right now, we could just forfeit the rest of the season and no one would care.
-
Another game, another blowout. Tank fans should be really happy. I don't know if I've ever seen a worse looking basketball team, including our expansion team.
-
And how long are fans supposed to "be patient" for?
-
I didn't read the article but it's not necessarily inconsistent. A key criticism of the "get terrible to get good" strategy is that it depends on luck. If you don't get lucky, the strategy means you could be really bad for a long time. Makes sense to me.
-
He's been mostly right about this rebuilding strategy.

I don't think adding a rookie to this group, unless it's the second coming of Lebron, gets you very far. I remember how people a couple of years ago were saying whichever team got Wiggins would be all set. Well, Minnesota not only has Wiggins, but Towns and Lavine and with all that they have about the same record as us. Hanging your hopes on the draft is a doubtful proposition when your team is this bad.

"Stinks" might be a bit too harsh. Let's tone it down a bit. How about "smells"? Or "eats doo-doo"? Or "plays like little girls"? I'm open to other suggestions.
-
Yeah but other than that, things are great.
-
I think calling it a train wreck is too harsh. Let's tone it down a bit. How about "dumpster fire"?

Don't know if it was just a temporary adjustment for Gordon being out or something that will last longer.
