Why even play the games if you think the way to develop our players is to try to lose every single game until we luck into a superstar? Just let them know at the start of the season that you’re conceding every game. That would actually be a lot less harmful to the young players than what you’re proposing. Haven’t we seen the results of building a team that’s designed to lose?

By that theory, and the assumption that you only can get talent with top draft picks, every team that’s any good now would have to have tanked. Which is obviously not the case. This idea that there’s only one way to create a good team, and that’s to be terrible until you luck into a superstar, is what’s driving what we’ve become.

Just lose all year long. Don’t try at all. That’s the secret to developing a winning outlook in your young players, and to finding long term success. Hiw many years of futility will it take to convince some of you that this is the exact opposite of what we should be doing?

I dunno. Motor/energy/competitiveness is more attitude than skill. You’d think rookies would actually be over enthusiastic. Bamba’s lack of apparent effort at times (frequent) is very worrisome to me. Skills you can improve or develop. Not so sure about attitude.

If he’s that sick that he’s not able to give close to 100% and looks even more lethargic than usual, he shouldn’t play. Birch will give us 100+% every time he’s out there.

And just a few short years ago, everyone was praising Hennigan for building a losing team so we could get great draft choices, like Wiggins. Remember the “young guns”?
