Also watching the ceremony i definitely do not agree with Shaq being the greatest Magic player ever

To me thats unequivocally Dwight Howard without a doubt!

Lol must have been too young to watch them play. Shaq is a top 15 player all time. Dwight is a top 100 player. Shaq owns Dwight in every way.  Also no sexual assault.

Imagine retiring Dwights jersey with all of his shenanigans the last few years.

Gotta give it time bro …he’s only played 10 games since returning to starting …he knows what’s up …he has to shoot 3’s when applicable …I feel like a broken record cause I’m having to keep repeating this …last night he didn’t care about numbers was happy to distribute …highest plus minus on the team …he can score when he wants …that dunk that he attempted over somebody but missed last night would have been awesome …I’ll take more of the above though.

Taking the conversation in a different direction I wanna know all those guys yesterday that posted we were gonna be a playoff flameout …being as how this team hasn’t been in the postseason just once since Dwight left and is so young …

What would a flameout look like ? What if we win a round ? What would be considered overachieving versus underachieving ?

That’s what Weltham wants to see before he makes personnel changes .

For the record, I never felt like a trade was coming cause this team hasn’t had a chance to show what they can do …not a major trade like PG anyway …why I thought all y’all’s panicking trade talk was crazy lol

Getting knocked out of The Play In and not even making The Playoffs is my worst case scenario.  If we can win two games in the first round that is the best case scenario in my opinion.

Haha yep …told my son to pick another game and I’d take him …so he chose OKC …saw last week that not only is that the TNT game but the night they are doing the Shaq jersey retirement thing …I may be the only one booing but I’ll let you know jajaja .

Also, after analyzing the schedule we have 30 games left …18 at home …we have 28 wins at this moment …I’m thinking we can go somewhere around 20-10 the final 30 …so I’m gonna predict our final record being 48-34 …that should be enough to get the Magic the 6th seed imo

I will probably be there also Junkie rooting him on.  I’m trying to get tickets for my parents as well as they are in their 80s.  It might be the last time they get to go to a game and we all have a lot of great memories of The Shaq and Penny era.  Very optimistic prediction and I hope your right.  Go Magic!!

Young young team …gotta see how things progress …gotta see how Fultz shooting comes around …but don’t forget we still have the “Death” lineup which has been nearly spectacular

So what’s your prediction?  Weren’t you telling me the strength of schedule doesn’t matter?

I'm still hopeful we make the playoffs but I'd bet money we don't win more than a single playoff game. Which is fine. We're on schedule. Just wish management could be braver. Why do we have to wait until Paolo and Franz are making a combined 70 million dollars to start making moves to actually try to win playoff series.

I agree 100% with your take. I don’t like the “they are so young we have years” way of thinking. Getting Paolo reps early would be so valuable. There are so many franchises that are more proactive. It was easier to make a trade now than in the summer.

Yeah the point was most are predicting a playin slot and early out in the playoffs …I for one am very interested to see how the team finishes the season

What’s your prediction for our seeding and the rest of the year out of curiosity?

I predict playin and then it’s 50/50 for us making The Play Offs. I don’t think we have enough offense or shooting to do too much. Still a good year considering how awful this last decade has gone.

You guys wanted trades but Weltham refused so you’re disappointed and management didn’t agree …so what are you guys gonna do if the team actually plays well to finish the season …when most of you are predicting playin and an early out of the playoffs

    Time will tell …

We all will root for our team like we always do despite the players, management and record.

We are fully loaded to go any direction we wish too

overpay who? what you talking about

We don't know who comes available in the summer

We know who the free agents are bro.

As far as trades go it will be harder in the summer than it was an hour ago. We won’t have contracts to trade.

Jay is the most optimistically delusional Magic fan I’ve ever come across. Full of positivity over the years and usually wrong about his predictions, gotta love it lol.

I love his positivity also. It beats a lot of the negative posters. But today I am disappointed in no move at all. Letting guys walk for nothing isn’t smart. We also don’t need more young players with all of our draft picks.

we have loads of cap room if we wish...

we are loaded with all our picks etc and players the league would want

    Haha I knew you’d say cap space…

Who do you want to overpay to come to Orlando?  And who are the great players teams would want not named Paolo, Franz or Jalen?

Yep. See you all in the summer for *checks notes*

    A Markelle Fultz extension

    A Gary Harris extension

Using our 2024 first round pick on someone who won't crack the rotation and trading our 2024 second round pick for a future second and cash.

That’s a great summary of what is likely to happen. We definitely won’t add any shooting lol

Some posters understand asset management. Cap space is so overrated in the modern NBA

Go for it sir …but I do commend you for  being like the only one to comment that Fultz was the only one playing with a purpose the other night …I honestly believe people root for him to fail …well he’s here to the end of the year now …let’s see what he can do

We are all Magic fans. We want the team to win. Pointing out that has 1 three pointer all year doesn’t mean we hate him.  He would be better off  the bench….Great kid in my opinion.

And there’s the deadline. Moves could still trickle in as long as they’re in the cue, but let’s be real, we know who we are. Staying put, for better or worse. Hopefully Kelle, WCJ and JI can stay healthy. I fear that our most likely path right now for the season is a one and done play-in team.

This is what scares me as well. That would be a wasted year in my opinion.
