I completely agree with your take on Fultz.

Seems pretty early to move off our 20 year old rookie on a cheap contract . I’m not saying he’s a star or anything but I’d give him 2-3 seasons. I worry that he might not be a PG for example. But Look what Suggs has become this year. Your definitely the lowest on Black on the whole board. Fultz is in his 7th season and hasn’t played even half the games for his career. Still waiting on him to hit one three this year. Can I get one three Fultz just one?

We all like and have rooted for Fultz. He is hurt too much though and his shooting is awful to nonexistent. Would you be opposed to him coming off the bench if we can get upgrade? I think it’s clear he isn’t a starter on a decent playoff team let alone a contender due to his shooting. This is a great time in our development to cash in some expiring contracts and draft picks for an upgrade. There are several options on the trade market. Waiting until the summer is simply bad business.

No I would not consider that a successful season. I am with your point of view here. There are players that need to move on. Better to do it now and get something valuable.

Your being very patient and reasonable. I just don’t want to miss The Play Offs all together. That would be a disaster to me. We all know this teams flaws and have for a long time. I would hate to wait too long on a trade and keep sliding down the standings. I won’t root for losses though to change the front offices minds. It seems like a lot of teams in our weight class have made big trades recently and that is frustrating to everyone. If anything happens it will probably be on Deadline Day.

I hope that doesn’t happen. Yet another player that would help us would be gone. Probably the best of the cheaper options as far as what it would take to get him.

You can add me to the list of fans that want a trade. I’d hate to let these expiring contracts get to the summer. I want a long term solution at PG that we can get with our many Picks and Expiring Contracts. Maybe we can keep Fultz coming off the bench?

That Siakam trade looked like a lot to give up picks wise. Then you look at the picks and they kind of suck. 2024 first-round pick (via Pacers), 2024 first-round pick (lesser of picks from Jazz/Clippers/Rockets/Thunder) and 2026 first-round pick (via Pacers, protected 1-4) We could give them two first rounders and a bunch of second rounders. We have 15 of those.

I agree. Most trades don’t happen until the last day of the deadline. Lets give them a few games.

He was six man of the year last year. He only has 1 year left on his contract and wouldn’t cost much. Very very low risk for a good player. He has been healthy for two years and would be a nice bridge if the Front Office doesn’t have the guts to get the big fish. He could even come off the bench for Black should he be better next year.

Brogdon had 30 pts 7 rebs 6 assists and made all 10 of his free throws against Indiana last night. I want Murray but Brogdon isn’t a bad consolation prize and very gettable.

Junkie you know how The NBA is when there is smoke there is fire. There is more smoke around Murray then Siakam even. Murray will most likely be traded. Part of the reason is him and Trae have not worked and they still want to build around Trae. Every NBA expert from Woj, to Shams has said they are trading him and he is the most likely All Star dealt. I think last night was an audition. I also doubt like you and others have said our Front Office will have the guts to make a big move even though they should. Google Dejounte Murray there will be a lot of articles about him. I was so happy to read this CT after talking about his issues a few weeks ago. I think I’ve changed my tune on him also. He would help so much. Since we last brought him up The Spurs have tried to trade for him back and Pop said nice things also. Lets lock in our PG position now. Your trade seems very reasonable. Hell throw in another second rounder. We have 15 of them and rarely use them.

We were discussing this a few weeks ago. Since then The Spurs have inquired about trading for him back. Also Pop said in a recent interview he still talks to Murray all the time and he is a huge fan of him as a person. I am back on the trade for Murray train. He just fits so well with his skill set and our timeline. He even has a good contract. He will probably end up on The Lakers helping them get to the finals lol
