I agree with both of your takes on Murray. He’s the best of the players out there but isn’t perfect by any stretch. I just happened to see that article about the game since I didn’t watch it and thought I’d provide a little context. Murray seems like a Laker to me at this point. Brogdon would more of a get out of Paolos way when he’s cooking type of guy. Him spotting up would help a lot.

Dejounte Murray scored the last seven points in an 11-0 run to open the overtime for Atlanta and finished with 19 points. https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/39455180/hawks-overcome-steph-curry-60-ot-win-vs-warriors He scored their last 7 points of OT if that helps any?

Everyone always pushes teams to play like everyone else and subscribe to an orthodoxy. Everyone was probably waiting for the Magic to return to Markelle Fultz and a more traditional lineup to close the game. Perhaps they would have if the Magic were behind and needed to pick up points. But that lineup had its struggles, too. It allowed Gobert to roam the paint and hunt blocks because of Fultz's hesitancy to shoot from the perimeter -- he still had 10 points because of his willingness to drive and attack and his talent finishing around shot-blockers. https://orlandomagicdaily.com/posts/orlando-magic-finally-unleashing-their-big-identity Our Death Line Up won us the game for sure. But Fultz was a big contributor last night. No one hates Fultz to be clear.

I was never a Cole guy but was liking him more at the start of the season. He has really fallen off or regressed to his usual selfish nature. He is just not efficient at all and is down to 32% from three. It’s too bad he doesn’t have much value and has that poison pill contract. I’d like to have a starting PG that can shoot and have Fultz run the second unit. He’s a way better player than Cole despite his lack of shooting.

I think Brogdon would help a lot and doesn’t have a long term contract and wouldn't cost much at all. Junkie I’ve read a lot of your posts. You know more about the league than this kid by far. Did you see his exciting players? Zach LaVine, Buddy Hield, Donovan Mitchell or Gary Trent Jr. were the names he gave. Zach Lavine would take a hell of a lot of shots away from our two stars. Buddy Hield is the same age as Brogdon and Bogdanovich. Trent Jr is a free agent and hasn’t had a great year. Mitchell is the only one without issues to me and he’s going no where. There is no perfect player. Can we please get some shooting though by trading Harris and a pick?

This writer doesn’t know what he’s talking about. I disagree with his whole mindset. He’s waiting for some perfect player that doesn’t exist. I especially disliked his thoughts on getting a PG to play make and take the ball out of Paolo and Franz’s hands.

He would be a great fit but like others have said it depends on if Mitchell wants to be there long term. I still like Mitchell a lot as well. He’s killing it this year.

Most all of the national media guys have him making it in outright. But worst case he will be an injury reserve for sure.

    4. Wendell Carter Jr., reclaiming his place It was easy to take Carter for granted when the Orlando Magic went 13-7 without him earlier in the season as Carter recovered from injury. Orlando was the feel-good story of the league, its two-headed center of Goga Bitadze and Moritz Wagner the feel-good story-within-the-story. Carter returned on Dec. 20, scored in single digits in seven of eight games, and then missed five games with knee tendinitis. Executives from other teams wondered if they might be able to steal Carter on the cheap. (How good would he look on the Thunder?) In six games since returning (again), Carter has reminded Orlando -- if Magic brass needed any such reminder -- why they should hold onto him unless they get a bonkers offer. In those games, Carter is averaging 17.4 points and 7.4 rebounds on 64% shooting -- including 7-of-14 on 3s -- and reasserting himself as their most versatile two-way center. Carter is a ceiling-raiser. Carter's jump-shooting has always been something of a siren song; he has hit 33% career on 3s and about 38% on long 2s. Carter is still just 24. If he improves his shooting -- if this lasts -- he becomes a different player. Carter can control his physicality, and he has been meaner since his return. He's jostling for offensive rebounds, sealing off the lane for drivers, mashing smaller players in the post and blowing by slower guys on pump-and-go drives. He has done that in fits and starts in prior seasons before receding into his finesse jump-shooter alter ego. Carter has been cagey defending the pick-and-roll -- baiting ball handlers into lob passes, and then leaping backward to deflect them. He is fast enough to switch. https://www.espn.com/nba/insider/insider/story/_/id/39378266/lowe-joel-embiid-nba-greatest-scoring-season

Miami just lost their sixth straight. Atlanta is nine games under .500 and looking to blow it up. As bad as we have been we will probably make the playin. I don’t know if we can win a game though.

He has been heavily involved in Trade Rumors for weeks. I get why he would want out of there. Not the classiest thing I’ve heard to be sure. I’d still take him though for the right price.
