  1. SO, i have backed off of the supporting markelle arguments, lol   but i am  happy with him tonight.

first half....Playing well with 2nd unit   6pts, +11   and shooting cleanly    he is not hitting alot of the shots,

but he seems not afraid to shoot and not a hitch      hopefully this is only the beginning

on another topic, i did not know what i thought about that starting line up, but it worked

rotations in general are going well tonight    in for a bit with 2nd

    nice work Mos

  2. Issac and Banchero questionable for tomorrow        i saw Futz take a tumble and come up holding his knee    Encouraged that he is not on the list     If they are going to use him with second unit, they need to give him more minutes so that they can get used to each other.   Otherwise start him or bench him, lol

This obviously isn’t a bad thing, but it doesn’t necessarily mean anything. I don’t know if any of his injuries so far have been fractures.

Need to wait for an MRI if they deem one necessary. The bad news is it’s the same left knee that it’s always been with him. Trying to stay optimistic.

Did they say knee?  looked like hamstring.... but i didnt hear

Boo the 76ers and Heat winning.

No kidding   this is the second or third time this has happened.   We get an unexpected win, and the teams we are trying to move up on,

who were both underdogs, also win. Very frustrating   I think the refs must have said "oh no, we cant let orlando move up"  lol

either that or we forgot to sacrifice AB's hair to the basketball gods  :)

I’m starting to think that us not doing anything at the deadline was less about management going full Otis Smith and “liking this team” and more about the minimal return we could get for the assets we were dangling. The current landscape of the nba makes expirings a lot less valuable than they used to be to trade for and those were the assets we were bringing to the table.

I guarantee you our team is the least surprised of anyone that Markelle is out again, but going into an off-season where we’ll have a ton of cap space it’s important to keep up the league-wide image we have that we take care of our players.

Really good thought   something that i had not thought of.

I think this is grasping for straws to make an excuse. Remember Fultz was also out the last game before the deadline for injury management. If it were maintenance and saving him for other games, Cleveland is the only team in the next 8 we’re playing that has a winning record, why would we sit him against them? Also, why sit him immediately after over a week off? It doesn't make sense

This is a real question, not a wind up.... Why do You think we are sitting him, then?    I posted one possible

thought above, i have a couple others, but interested in why You think that we are not using him?

It cant JUST be TOS, cause he has played when he was shooting terribly, recently  (shooting terrible as opposed to reluctant to shoot)

PS I agree that it doesn't make sense, without further information, which we all know that we are not going to get.

  7. re: fultz out...

When he first came back, the TOS was the worst it has been.

It got progressively better, untill he sat on a back to back, then had 2 days off

    then it flared up again.

I wonder if both issues are true... if they sit him because his knee IS acting up,

but then the inactivity causes the TOS to flare up when he uses his shoulder again?

If so, You would think that the staff could find a way to keep his shoulder lubricated,

    without taxing his knee.

Thanks, CT. I didn't understand how playing in the G League worked (guys being sent back and forth to the NBA team that acquired them). I was just wondering about it. I thought maybe they were compensated by giving them free housing and ham sammiches while they developed--like a bootcamp. /just kidding.

But I was serious when I asked the question. Thanks again.

Hi Fan, just wanted to pass this bit on.

I had a friend who's husband was in the minor leagues of baseball. And though not quite as dire as room and board,

he was paid very little, certainly not enough to live on.   SO I guess the NBA is doing it better.

    2 caveats

    1) this was about 20 years ago, so maybe its better now?

    2) i dont know what level of minor league player he was. Maybe AAA is better?

Maybe we should have taken the starters out when we were down 20 last night with 7 minutes left in the game?  Would we have had more players available tonight if we did?    Better to save something for today’s game once it was apparent we weren’t going to win last night.

I watched an interview with Coach last night. He was asked where fultz was in the second half.   He said he was protecting him because of the back to back.  And yet.... he is not playing

Kyle “Flop” Lowry agrees to a buyout with the Hornets and is joining the 76ers for the rest of the season. The flopping between he and Embiid on the same floor is going to be special

I can't tell you how much i loved that the rumor of our interest in him was false      not my type of player
