The perfect player for us would be Tyrese Haliburton, he’s hands down the best PG in the NBA right now. He sees the court like nobody else does while hardly turning the ball over and can score from all 3 levels. However like the other Tyrese he’s untouchable.

Goga with another impressive game on the defensive end and he was active on the offensive glass. Not sure how a lot of you think he’s a mediocre player when he’s been holding down the center position just fine for us. He has definitely earned minutes in this rotation once WCJ comes back.

Wendell plays too much out on the perimeter instead of down low. Goga gets us offensive boards because he stays closer to the paint which leads to second chance points. While I do love WCJ’s game I personally wouldn’t mess with the starting lineup/chemistry we have right now.

I would do that trade in a heartbeat because I love Maxey’s game. However the 76er’s would laugh at us if our trade offer was WCJ, Okeke, and Houstan. Unless we involve Paolo or Franz they wouldn’t take us seriously. Maxey would instantly be the best guard in our rotation which is why we wouldn’t be able to get him with the offer you’re proposing.

They would never trade Maxey for WCJ and a filler. Maxey is a rising star and the 2nd best player on that 76ers team. We would need to throw in one of Paolo or Franz and personally that’s giving up too much.

We have a Caleb Houstan on our bench who has a nice looking stroke. He’s also a high IQ guy and holds his own on defense.

Great team win last night! I especially loved the intensity they showed on the defensive end. Goga is a real threat in the paint the way he alters and blocks shots. He’s also a very good rebounder and stays within himself on the offensive end. As much as I love WCJ I’d seriously consider entertaining trades for him if it gets us a good return. Like others have mentioned it’s going to be hard finding minutes for Goga when WCJ comes back and I feel like he’s earned minutes in this rotation. Like it was also pointed out WCJ spends too much time in the perimeter shooting 3’s which takes him out of the paint and limits our offensive rebounding chances. This is something we’ve really been exploiting against other teams ever since Goga was inserted in the starting 5. Just some things I’ve been thinking about and am interested in seeing how it all plays out when WCJ returns.

Mosley doesn’t know how to make in game adjustments until it’s too late.

Right he was out last game due to personal reasons so not due to injury and it was reported earlier this week that he would be rejoining the team today. Either way we can’t play sloppy basketball and go on these 2nd half scoring droughts especially if Derozan is a go tonight.

Can’t forget Derozan was out the last time we played them. He has always been a Magic killer and if he plays tonight I don’t like our chances honestly.

Shouldn’t have come down to a last second shot but at this point I’ll take the W.

Mosley waited entirely too long to put JI back into the game. He’s been a menace all night and should have put him in sooner to stop their momentum.

Paolo really needs to work on his free throwing shooting. He leaves too many points on the line.

Agreed he needs to learn not to force things especially when he’s having such a bad game. Great teams don’t force the ball they trust each other and make the right passes to find the best shot available. If we eventually want to contend in the East this is something our team needs to learn that just because you have a decent look doesn’t mean it’s the best shot available.

Yes I’d still be upset if Paolo hit that 3. We should have never been in that position to begin with. Paolo repeatedly killed our momentum in the 4th will all his turnovers, missed shots, and offensive fouls. Why did the coach insist on running the offense through him in crunch time when he was clearly struggling is beyond me. Fultz and especially JI sat out entirely too long in the 4th. Only reason we changed the momentum of the game and took a 10 point lead was because JI was wreaking havoc on defense and attacking the basket on offense which lead to him getting fouled repeatedly and actually making most of his free throws. Now is Paolo the only person to blame here? Definitely not because we missed way too many free throws as a team and were just plain careless handling the basketball with many unforced turnovers. However when it mattered the most Paolo cost us this game with his head scratching decision making along with Mosleys untimely rotations.

Paolo lost us this game. Kept on forcing things instead of relying on the rest of his teammates. Also Mosley and his rotations are questionable at best.

Why is Paolo repeatedly picking up his dribble jumping in the air with nowhere to go and forcing bad passes?

Haha no worries you’re good just wanna give JI his recognition especially since he’s been away from the game for so long. Makes me happy seeing him still being able to contribute on that end.

You forgot to include JI making his presence felt on the defensive end. He’s had a few blocked shots already with the most notable one being on Valanciunas where JI sent it flying into the stands.

What’s impressed me the most is how fluid our starting 5 has been when running their sets. Everyone knows where they are supposed to be and guys are making the extra pass looking for the best shot available. Franz game is carrying over from his World Cup play and the confidence is evident especially his 3 point shooting. Paolo is passing very well and is looking to get others involved early. Suggs continues to be a pest on defense and last night his 3 point shot looked much improved, you can tell he’s been working on that all summer. Anthony is also looking sharp off the bench and not forcing shots like in previous years. JI’s offense is still a bit rusty but his defense is still game changing, I feel like his offense will come along with the more in game reps he gets. Joe Ingles will be a good player for us he’s a legitimate 3 point threat, is a willing passer, and he also brings that fire on the court ala Mo Wagner. Fultz continues to get to the basket at will and his 3 point shot is looking much more fluid and improved. Wendell Carter looks automatic from everywhere on the court he is shooting with confidence and continues being aggressive on the defensive and offensive boards. Anthony Black is another pest on defense but his offense and play making so far leave a lot to be desired. Mo keeps doing Mo like things which is always bringing physicality and energy to that 2nd unit. The biggest disappointments to me so far have been G Harris and Chuma Okeke don’t really see them in the rotation this year unless injuries force them into the lineup. Those are some of my takeaways from the first 2 games that we’ve played.

We’ve been playing very good basketball. I know it’s just preseason but our starters have been outplaying the other teams starters and the 2nd unit has been maintaining the lead which we struggled with a lot last season. If we can stay healthy this year I can definitely see us outright making the playoffs.

I agree he’s a 2 way player in the making and if he can stay healthy he will make a jump this year especially in his shooting percentages. I’d prefer him being in the starting lineup because a starting backcourt consisting of him and Fultz is going to give the opponents guards trouble all game.

Franz looked great today after coming back from an ankle injury. He looks like he’s going to make another leap this year which bodes well for this organization.

Paolo was playing very timid he wasn’t being aggressive on offense and often looked lost and out of position. Team USA played sloppy in the first half which is why they lost.
