I agree with you about them being leaders in the community. They just set this franchise back far enough all these years to make me want to dislike them with all the boneheaded decisions they’ve made in the past. I hope they have really learned their lesson and let WeltHam do their job and build this team the right way.

The only draft pick I feel like we missed on and could have gotten better talent was the year we got Mario Hezonja. There were better options available for sure but thankfully for us that management is gone besides the untouchables (Martins and the Devos family.) I agree with you though with the rest.

I see Isaac more as a defensive force with a respectable offensive game. Now if he can get his offense up to par with his defense (which I can see him doing) he will be in the conversation with those handful of guys you’re talking about. Again the guys is young and already trying to define his career is crazy. Especially considering last year was his first full year of playing time. You can’t tell me a guy so young won’t continue to develop. Will he be a super star maybe not but saying he definitely won’t be is being short sighted and unrealistic. Again let the guy play first and develop before projecting him as staying in the league and getting a couple all star nods. What other people fail to stop and think about his usage is maybe that’s just been his coaches game plans and he hasn’t had a chance to showcase that killer mentality because he plays team ball and wants his team to win. That’s one of the reasons I wanted us not to resign Vuc and somehow trade away Fournier. More touches would become available and we could run more offense through AG and get JI more touches. Honestly he has the most potential on our team besides Fultz and the aforementioned guy hasn’t even stepped on the court for us yet. I see JI taking a big step this year and don’t be surprised if he’s running for MIP next year especially if those 25 pounds of muscle he supposedly put on over the summer rumors are true.

Coming from a fan just like the rest of us. To say someone is absolutely not going to become something is absolutely ludicrous. The guy is just getting his feet wet and if you watched the games where JI was feeling good on offense you could just see the confidence coming out in his game. If you give the man more touches he’s going to produce more simple as that. To try and say he’s not going to be great in this league based off of nothing more than personal opinion is laughable. Give the guy a chance to at least grow into his body and get consistent playing time and some plays called for him. God forbid we are patient with our players and actually let them develop here instead of on another team. I think too many people are wanting to win the quick and easy way with how the league is trending with all this buddy ball super team garbage. If we are patient and actually develop our players correctly we will be a scary team to beat. I’d rather develop our players and build something the right way than pull these Houston moves and over paying to try and stay relevant.

Agreed! I feel like it was a not so subtle message that he’s nearing returning to 5 on 5 basketball activities and hopefully in the rotation. For him to come out like that and say it with such conviction speaks volumes to where he is with his rehab. I’m excited as ever to see this kid on the court and see how he changes our team dynamic completely.

Fultz is excellent at getting into the paint and drawing contact. If he can hit his free throws at a decent clip 70 % that would get us at least to about average in free throw attempts compared to almost dead last. That’ll give us more points on the scoreboard and we can still defend at an elite level with him on the floor.

I think he can sustain last years play but I do agree I’d much prefer going with a bigger PG that can shoot the 3 and create for himself and the team. That’s why Fultz is so key to all this success going forward. We may already have that player in our roster but we have to wait until he’s actually on the court to evaluate what we truly have. Everything is just speculation until the guy plays. Now if come January he’s still not on the court then I’d have to worry and try and acquire that PG via trade if we want this team to take the next step in the development process.

It’s like when other players do this. Still doesn’t take away from the Jersey. Gonna be rocking it proud!

I got an Authentic white home T-Ross Jersey the first year we traded for him. Glad I made that investment and he’s here long term. Gotta post a pic of it later when I dig it out of the closet lol.

Westbrook isn’t that good trade though. Only if we don’t have to include anything meaningful like the BIGMF core. I’m all for sacrificing draft picks and Vuc/Fournier for him but that’s about it. He isn’t worth breaking up our team over but would be a welcomed addition if we could somehow pull it off without including those guys mentioned. .

I agree, I’d rather be upset with Vuc’s contract that’s actually traceable than be stuck with a soon to be declining Westbrook. He also would hate to play here and I’d hate to give up assets for a player that could force his way outta here with the type of leverage players have these days. I’m all for sticking with Vuc until we trade him for D-Lo or another player that can create for themselves on the offensive side of the ball.

In all fairness I wasn’t on the boards officially when Isaac first came into the league (lurker) but I’ve been sold on him from day one and the injuries to his ankles were the only thing holding him back. He looks to have overcome those ankle issues and has been trending upward ever since he got consistent playing time. If we run more offense for JI this year you will see his play increase in both ends of the floor but especially in his ppg. I see him having all the tools to becoming one of our All Stars on this team. I believe we have a few more on the team as well if developed correctly and given consistent minutes. Anyways this year should be a good one with the continued development and growth of our boys and the continuity with the coaching staff I see us making a jump as a team and fighting for a 4 seed or higher.

Lol no worries it’s understandable when you get into desperation mode tryna get rid of Vuc when we could have just let him walk for nothing and this team would have been just fine.

I don’t mind the same team if we replaced one or both in Vuc and Fournier. That’s what it boils down to honestly and idk how management doesn’t see that.

What about Ayton though? Those 2 definitely can’t play together and I don’t see Phoenix giving up on him so fast especially if he continues to improve every year.

Guys after sitting down and thinking about this Vuc nonsense and how we didn’t address the SG position. What if management is trying internally develop our SG of the future. Think about it, why would management sign Aminu effectively taking Iwundu out of the rotation at the SF position. What if we are trying to groom Iwundu into a huge SG? The biggest flaw to his game is that he can’t hit his jump shots consistently right now but what if that changes? Could you imagine a lineup of Fultz, Iwundu, Isaac, Gordon and Vuc (rolls eyes) I bet management is salivating at the thought of putting that death lineup out there. Wes can handle the ball and plays good team defense and his individual D is coming along as well. Idk I just can’t see how management has made all these calculated moves and signings for the last couple of years to all of a sudden change course now. I believe the Vuc signing is gonna be team friendly where we can move him when Bamba is ready. That way we can have the most athletic and dangerous defensive starting 5 in the league. Idk just my thoughts after seeing us not address the G position AGAIN and have Fournier starting for us with the same damn results and the elite PG’s abuse DJ because of his height disadvantage. Love to hear what everyone thinks about this odd possibility lol.

He’s not a high IQ player. He makes too many mental mistakes and doesn’t play team ball. He continuously ignores the cutter or the player in the corner for the three. He throws bad pases dribbles our of bounds and chucks up head scratching shots throughout the game. No thanks but I’ll pass on that nonsense. We need teammates who make one another better that’s how you build a strong culture and get FA players who wanna sign here. Sure Fournier hit a few game winners but that’s because he had to make up for the bad plays he made down the stretch. If he played within himself I’d be ok with keeping him but he tries to do too much and isn’t as talented as he thinks he is.

If he was a legit All-Star he would create for himself and carry the team. Not disappear and play like a guy whose never seen a basketball court in his life. I don’t buy the excuse he didn’t have help, I feel if we had better guard play and didn’t have to rely on a slow plodding effortless center we would have fared better than we did in the playoffs. People say they don’t know where the offense would come from but we hardly ran plays for anyone not named Vuc or Fournier. Of course nobody else is gonna standout on that side of the ball if they don’t get plays ran for them. Stop tying up money on big men and let’s start getting some quality guards on this team. Can’t sign anyone if you’re tying the money up on an empty stats “All-Star.”

Couldn’t disagree more with this assessment. Who cares what the guy does during the season if he can’t produce in the playoffs plain and simple. You don’t pay a guy 100 million to just perform during the season and disappear when it matters. That’s the type of money a real All Star deserves. We have been sorely lacking legitimate guard play for who knows how long and management keeps hindering this team with absurd signings like this. I’m more than confident this team would excel without Vuc and Fournier playing on this team anymore. AG is ready for this to be his team and JI is ready for a more expanded offensive role. That can’t be done when we have Vuc having most of the offense run through him. We have guys ready to step up but they aren’t being given the chance. Just ask Bamba what he thinks about all of this. Honestly doesn’t make any sense and any fan that’s behind this resigning is just a casual fan that’s happy we made the playoffs.

My thoughts exactly.... How are your 2 “best offensive” players going to completely disappear in a 7 game series? I understand it’s your first time in the playoffs but that’s why you’re in the NBA because you can play. Any other player would have watched film and made changes to try and contribute in different ways for the next game. These two idiots did the same thing over and over again for 4 straight games and that’s why we got embarrassed by the champs. No idea what management is thinking if we have to put up with Fournier and Vuc willingly and being Mediocre for the next 4 years.

For JI and this team to take the next step he needs to add some serious muscle ala Giannis in order to take his game to the next level. So I would say strength and conditioning for JI all summer and in between testing from that he needs to be putting up a ton of shots and build confidence with that jumper. Bamba same thing needs to add the muscle and need to see him more engaged when on the court. AG needs to improve his handle and continue with the great decision making and also keep focused on the defensive side of the ball. Fultz just needs to play ball and stop letting all the pressure get into his head. Iwundu needs to keep working on his shot and keep improving the ball handling. He can be a good 2 way player if his shot starts to fall consistently. Fournier needs to go and so does Vuc so I could care less what they worked on over the summer.

While I agree with you on him posting up smaller defenders it just can’t physically happen yet. Once he starts filling out his frame with constant offseason weight room training, and knocking down those 3’s consistently, plus handling the ball more with actual offense ran for and through him. The Magic will put the league on notice and we will be contenders in the East with the continued development of the rest of our young core.

No you continue with your nonsense and when the game doesn’t fit your narrative you switch over and say you predicted the magic would win the whole time. You’re a troll that has nothing better to do with your time. Most of us have been through those 6 years you mention and never once did we give up on the team like you consistently do every game. It’s fine to state your opinion but it’s not fine to keep regurgitating the same nonsense over and over. Be a real fan and stop being so negative all the time lol.
