He’s a rookie though. Do you expect this guy to not have any flaws in his game? Let the guy develop before predicting the course of his career. Gotta take the good and the bad and hope he grows as the season goes on.

Agreed but his instinct and bball IQ is what’s keeping him on the floor most games. We need to be patient with him but he can be something special as a 3rd option on a contending team.

RJ’s jumper looking smooth and he’s playing a lot more under control. Suggs is off and is still putting up jaw dropping highlights. Cole Anthony looks like he’s trying way too hard almost as if he knows he may be the odd man out of the guard rotation once Fultz comes back. Either way he needs to settle down and play team basketball. Too much 1 on 1 that leads to contested desperation heaves towards the rim.

Wagner’s shot looks smooth he just needs to put on some muscle to be able to hit the 3 consistently and drive and take contact.

Timma deserves a spot on this team. We need to sign him as a high energy end of the bench vet who can fill in when needed.

I wasn’t opposed to giving the man an interview but after reading all the craziness he brings to an organization i’m surprised he got another chance to coach at any level. I’m glad we didn’t hire him or even seriously consider him.

Wagner isn’t a 1 year project. He clearly needs to put on some weight and get used to the NBA speed and strength. Everyone trying to determine these young men’s NBA futures off of 1 SL game need to calm down and realize it’s a process. There will be a learning curve and many bumps along the way. We can only hope for health and growth as the season continues. Obviously Suggs is much more NBA ready than Wagner but that still doesn’t discount his potential moving forward.

You’re right! I was one of those that questioned this FO with how stagnant they’ve been by evaluating this team for so long and not being able to see that a core of Vuc, Fournier, and Gordon is not a team that can get it done. Not gonna lie would have loved seeing Gordon with this new coaching staff and teammates but that’s water under the bridge now. I secretly love RJ’s potential if he can hit a reliable jumper whether it be mid range or 3. I like all of our other pieces and their varying degrees of potential as well but mentioned him specifically because he came with the AG trade. With that being said I’m pleasantly surprised with the 180 this FO has done and have loved the moves they’ve made this off-season. We have a bright future ahead of us and hope we continue to make smart calculated moves so we can make it out of the first round of the playoffs and beyond. This city deserves it and it’s our time to take it. Let’s Go!

Magic FO again nailed this off-season by resigning Moe. It’s going to do wonders to unlock his little brother Franz potential and I can only see good things coming from this. Not to mention Moe played excellent in the limited minutes he received and should also benefit from this pairing. I’m chomping at the bit waiting for summer league and season to start! I know there will be growing pains but at least we have a clear direction and are oozing potential. That’s all you can ask for in a rebuild and haven’t been this happy or proud to be a Magic fan in a longgggg time.

The way that boy moves his feet on defense and gets to his correct spots tells me he will get recognized for DPOY eventually. He’s so young and oozing potential and the fact he was talking about defensive coverages during his press intro bodes well for him staying on the floor early on. I haven’t been this excited to watch summer league since we got Oladipo. We have so many guys to root for and any one of them could make the jump and take it to the next level this season.

For all we know he could be the next Giannis with a 3 point shot. Not saying this is who he will become but the point is the guy is so young the sky is the limit for him. He needs to be put in an NBA strength and Conditioning program for a few years and then we can start making comparisons about who his ceiling could be. Right now we know he will be able to contribute on the defensive end from day 1 and that’s going to earn him PT on the floor especially since we are thin at the forward spot. It’s an exciting time to be a Magic fan and I can’t wait for summer league to start so we can watch these boys play.

I think he means his brother Moe Wagner which in that case he can play the 4 or 5. Franz can play 3 or 4 and maybe the 5 later on in his career when he fills out a bit more.

My wish came true!!! Got both Wagner’s on the team. Hope that brings out the best in both their games and they wreak havoc on the court together.

I also hope we bring back Mo Wagner so we can have both of them on the team. Kinda like a hype man ala Giannis and Thanassis. Seriously though I liked how Mo looked for us last year in the limited time he was here and if we can add on his brother in the draft with one of our picks that’s just icing on the cake.

In his defense he was injured and was never able to get into a rhythm this year. He definitely has potential but I wouldn’t trade both of our firsts for him.

Same! The fact he is a practice what you preach type of coach shows he will hold everyone accountable no matter if it’s a rookie or a veteran player. If we stay healthy I can see us making some noise and possibly make it into the play in games if they do that again this year. Either way I’m excited about this new direction. Now just gotta wait until the draft to see what our team/rotations are gonna look like.

Yeah man that’s like the laziest way of contributing to the message boards lol. I’m all for difference of opinion but at least state why you disagree and make things interesting. Either way here’s to hoping someone over reaches in the draft or we trade up and we end up with Green or Suggs.

Could have been a little lower and I saw the hint of disappointment but I agree it could have been worse and I’m not mad at it. I’m just upset with us losing out on the top 3-4 players.

You could tell Weltman was mad with the Bulls pick and super pissed with us falling out of the top 4. This sets us back again and I hate it. I have no faith in our FO making a good pick outside of the obvious choices.
