Agreed, I just think the game is too fast for him right now and he’s also being out muscled by the guys that are guarding him. I was hoping he would look better for us starting off but we will have to temper our expectations from him until we get more of our starters back.

His handle worries me more than his jumper tbh. He’s too out of control with his drives and loses it more times than not when attacking the basket. He needs to seriously improve in order for him to be an impactful player for us.

They’ve been swallowing the whistle against the Magic all night and calling everything for the Spurs. Also Suggs looks lost out there on offense very indecisive and he can’t make anything at the rim or a simple pull up jumper.

These refs are terrible. How they clearly missed that Hampton 3 is baffling. Also Suggs handle is suspect he can’t hold onto the ball when driving into the lane.

If Mo brings the same energy and defensive presence in the paint that he showed in preseason I wouldn’t hesitate to resign him as well. Both can stretch the floor and are still young enough to develop their games and compliment one another when playing on the court together.

Once Fultz is back I don’t see Suggs starting at the 1. He will most likely slide over to the 2 which suits his game a lot better right now. His handle isn’t as tight as it should be for a PG and he has trouble getting by defenders consistently when they start to pressure him. Fultz is a much more natural play maker and Suggs looks more comfortable off the ball at this point in time.

Yeah he isn’t looking very good right now. He’s too weak to play with these grown men. He always gets cut off on his drives and out muscled by any defender that gets physical with him. He’s definitely going to be a project and I wouldn’t expect much from him this season. Let him get a full year of strength and conditioning at the NBA level and things will get easier for him and hopefully the game slows down for him as well. His shot is nonexistent right now and he’s not getting to the rim to draw fouls and shoot free throws to gain that in game confidence.

Not sure tbh don’t follow the Wizards much at all. I know the last team he played for was Boston for like 2 or 3 weeks before he was let go and we signed him. Either way glad our FO decided to bring him back he is looking like a good rotation player who does all the little things to help you win games.

Those guys aren’t the end of the bench they are all G League players lol. We definitely won that game first and second unit. Hope we can continue this momentum into the next game and start the season off strong. We will need it with such a tough schedule.

Mo Wagner was such an underrated pickup. Loved the intensity he brought to the second unit last year and it’s looking like he’s getting more comfortable within the offense. I know it’s preseason but we are looking good against the Celtics so far.

Nothing to be concerned about it’s the first preseason game and guys are just trying to run the sets they’ve been working on in practice. He’s picking his spots and is trying to get his teammates involved. Nothing wrong with that at all.

I wouldn’t worry about Moore he’s pushing the ball and playing with great pace. I agree with Bamba though if he brings it every night like this we may surprise a lot of people this year.

He also had an interview on Monday stating whoever wrote that article severely misrepresented him and he never started reading up on Black History and watching Trump to come up with his conclusion as to why he shouldn’t get the vaccine. People are so quick to judge and point fingers without understanding the situation, and at the end of the day it’s his personal choice to make regardless of what we think. JI’s only worry should be his ankles/acl not what people think about him being vaccinated or not.

Some of these comments are sad and cringe worthy all because someone chose to exercise their freedom of choice and speech. The fact of the matter is you can catch this virus having the vaccine or not. Some choose to potentially have milder symptoms by getting vaccinated. Others don’t feel comfortable putting something in their body that hasn’t been tested for very long and would rather let their body do the fighting like it has been doing for many generations before us. This is a personal choice and nobody should be put down for deciding for or against getting the vaccine. More love and less hate, Go Magic!

Nice! I am currently downloading 2k22 on Xbox One and I’m looking forward to playing with the Magic. I wouldn’t mind that pickup at all tbh. He is all business when on the court and can be the exact gritty vet we need on the bench. He also plays team ball which some of our guys could use some more lessons on.

And the most important thing is his shot isn’t broken. He just clearly needs to put on some weight/muscle to hit that NBA 3 with consistency. Love all the little things he does though and I honestly don’t get all the hate he’s getting on here. Was he a reach perhaps but he isn’t a terrible pick by any means and can definitely be a glue guy later on in his career ala Kris Middleton that does everything needed on both sides of the floor to win games.

Cole Anthony still doesn’t get it. I’m scared this is going to carry over to the season because he’s playing exactly like he did starting his rookie year. He looks completely lost and outmatched out there.

I agree with you here. I saw the same thing, a guy who was trying to setup his teammates early and often. He only started looking for his shot whenever the game started to get out of hand but it was too late by then. He definitely has that IT factor and he has that star potential written all over him. Can’t wait until he plays with competent teammates who will hopefully finish the passes he makes to them. Fultz and Suggs is going to be a scary and tenacious backcourt that I can’t wait to see play together.

Yeah for some reason he feels like he needs to take over games instead of playing within himself and the team philosophy. He needs to stop focusing on being the man and just make the right basketball play. Some of the stuff he’s doing out there is just plain dumb.

Not to mention that horrendous fast break he attempted tonight where it was 2 on 1 and he decided to selfishly take it all the way to the basket instead of giving his teammate an easy layup. Anthony is a TRoss lite right now and that’s not a good thing. He needs to settle down and play team basketball.

His main problem right now is getting pushed around by the bigger players in the game. Once he gets put on a strength and conditioning program this conversation will be an after thought. Your letting your bias cloud your judgment and evaluation of this guy.
