I agree he should go right back starting at the 5 with Mo sliding to the bench brining that same energy and grittiness.

I respectfully disagree WCJ is a better defender, rebounder, and rim protector than Mo. Something we have been missing pretty badly in these games. Mo needs to take all of Bambas minutes playing with the 2nd unit.

Per Khobi Price WCJ is making his return on Friday against the Spurs. It’s nice we are finally getting healthy again, hopefully it lasts!

For whatever it’s worth RJ Hampton requested to be assigned to the G League so he could get more playing time. This tells me 2 things, first that he’s hungry and wants to get better and second he’s completely out of our rotation and most likely won’t be with us passed the trade deadline. I like RJ just wish he would play within himself, had a higher b ball iq, and that he knew how to use his speed to his advantage instead of playing so out of control.

I think Fultz is forcing the issue a bit but that’s due to him being out for so long. He’s leaps and bounds better than the guard play we’ve had recently so I’m fine with his play so far. It should only improve the more in game reps he gets.

Another great win and I’m loving the hustle and team play we’ve been seeing on this current winning streak. Hopefully the guys are motivated and continue playing hard for one another and move the ball to find the open man. Let’s see if they are hungry and continue this win streak or if we fall back to those old habits. Also shot out to Kevon and Admiral for playing within themselves and actually being a positive on both ends of the floor, I know I’ve gotten on them several times but if they continue to play like they have recently I don’t mind them coming in for short spurts to give our guys a breather.

The 2.3 blocks and 1.8 steals per game is what truly stands out for me. We need that defensive tenacity/presence on the floor especially with how bad we have been playing on the defensive end this year. Can he ever get back to that type of production is the biggest question.

Because he won’t get as much practice time while the team is on road trips. I think he should play some games as well and maybe he will after a few practices.

In other news JI is being assigned to Lakeland for practice purposes. Hopefully this means we see him playing early next year.

Yeah he definitely over dribbles which kills our offense and the time on the shot clock. I’d like to see more of his passing instead of trying to get his on the offensive end. Scoring 20+ a game doesn’t mean much if your team is still getting blown out most nights. He’s still a rookie though so hopefully he watches a lot of film and tries to find ways to impact the team other than just scoring. He has too much talent to not improve in those other areas of his game.

Paolo is so lazy with his handle, he needs to learn how to take better care of the basketball. Also his defense leaves a lot to be desired, those are 2 of the most glaring issues with his game right now. Hopefully he improves in those areas in the off-season.

Refs are trash

I wouldn’t blame it on our guards for the fact we were down 20. Our bigs weren’t boxing out or contesting any shots at the rim. Also both of our guards need time to shake the rust off and develop on court chemistry with the rest of the players. This was evident on a few passes where Markelle made it through tight windows and the guys on the receiving end couldn’t hang on to it because they weren’t expecting him to make the play. That’s a testament to how bad our guard play has been as of late. We were also playing against 2 of the better starting guard rotations in the NBA, I wouldn’t overreact based off this one game.

I’d take that trade and run before Sacramento realizes how bad Bamba is lol. Holmes knows how to rebound and is a hustler something we are severely lacking right now.

He was in a walking boot a couple of days ago so I doubt we see him anytime soon unfortunately.

Playing that matador defense. Not boxing out and letting guys get whatever they want at the rim. That’s just unacceptable we should be putting a body on someone whenever a shot goes up that’s just basketball 101.

Apparently Fultz will be limited to about 15 minutes and Anthony to 20. I’ll take whatever we can get from those two.

I hope I am too for the sake of my sanity. It’s getting tiring being a Magic fan and watching this horrible product we keep putting out on the floor.

True but we haven’t seen Fultz yet this year and I think he greatly improves this team because he can finish at the rim and knows how to run an offense and get guys the ball in good positions to score. Having Anthony come off the bench should also bolster our 2nd unit especially in the scoring department because they’ve been abysmal all year.

Can’t wait to see what we look like with competent guard play. While I like Franz running point forward he’s so good off the ball with the way he cuts to the basket. It’s something we have been lacking when the play breaks down and should give us some easy buckets around the rim.

Agreed, the fact Bamba still doesn’t know how to post smaller guys on the block or how to use his length down low is maddening. He needs to go, Bol has shown he deserves all his minutes especially when this team is healthy again.

Schofield needs to stay in the G league he has no business playing for this team or any team in the NBA for that matter. Low IQ and he doesn’t bring anything to the 2nd unit. I know he’s only playing because of all the injuries but we could honestly do better with his 2 way spot.
