  1. Well it's good to see a trade that makes some sense on paper. No zillion draft picks because OG is gonna opt out and has to be resigned. Mostly an exchange, one player who has years left for another who doesn't. How good is Quickley?

I mean, yes they just played us. He is a small guard who shoots 3's. Seems a little better shooter then Cole but not as good distributor, maybe the same everything else?

Anyway cool trade in that maybe it gets the ball rolling and normal trades start happening again.

Holie smackers ! Magic fans you need some good positive news ??? How about your Orlando Magic jumped 6 spots and are now ranked number EIGHT in the entire NBA !

We are number one on CBS sports which really only takes in to account the current week each ranking.

Man the Bulls really do suck. Zach Lavine scored 2 points. 2.

The real issue to me is that we were the only team who didn't get to play on the final day of group play. So we'd done all we could but the Celtics for example knew what they needed to do going into today (win and run up the score). That's an advantage.

Hoping this disappointment doesn't stop the team from keeping on rolling.

It really doesn't matter and it would have been fun for us as fans and for the players.

But again, it really doesn't matter. Zach scoring two points is pathetic and it's really about culture. They didn't even try to put up a fight.

Isaac for two second round picks???  Lol. That would be epically bad.

Hey since we are winning and Isaac looks great no need to speculate. However, what is the worth of a player who hasn't really played much in almost 4 years?

The big thing about both Fultz and Isaac is they will need a 3rd contract soon. How do you pay players who weren't even worth the first two contracts they signed?

Sounds harsh but it's true. In fairness, if they both spent most of the year healthy i could see them staying out of loyalty. Fact is most injury riddled players move to have a fresh start or a different medical team.

    We are championship contenders too!!

I mean guys as young as the Magic players simply don't have the experience to get it done in the playoffs or do not get the whistle. Best thing is to get into the playoffs just like  Shaqs second season. Get some playoff reps then who knows. Sky is the limit. Seriously think 3 or 4 guys have all-star potential on this team.  Lot's of talent....finally.

  6. Is Mo Wagner the best contract in the NBA right now? LOL!

It's easy to see why we are winning. The coaching is way better and the guys are hitting shots. But the big things are great team defense and ball movement compared to previous years.

Team has unbelievable chemistry and since we have at least 9 guys who are actual NBA level players the bench is way better then most teams.

    EDIT;

To elaborate on the last comment. For ten years the Magic had almost no All-star talent and maybe 2-2.5 actual starters on the team. The starters were mostly bench players starting and the bench was G-league at best.

Now we have 2-4 guys who will be all-stars and starters on the bench!

    It's just that simple.

  7. Ingles and Harris are our off the bench guys who can hit a 3. We need one more consistent starter who can not turn over the ball and hit a 3. Suggs and Cole, i am afraid to say, still look like very good bench players then starters right now. Sorry i said it. Both are good at one or two things but not great at leading an offense or handling the ball yet.

We need a vet ball handler or we need to get Markelle next to Harris to start games.

  8. Can't watch the games much. Still the same old Magic, still need a PG as the ones we have the last ten years either suck shooting, suck on defense or can't stay healthy.

Best year we have had in 10 years was when a clear cut bench point guard had a career year and was healthy. Yes i am talking about DJ Augustin.

Can't talk about Fultz and potential anymore, it's now or never. A team starting a rookie at point guard is never going anywhere.

Going way back in this thread, yeah it does suck that the Pacers have Haliburton and the Thunder have Shai. One we could have picked and one was acquired with Sabonis.

    SMDH Magic!

Go out and get a vet and lets make the playoffs.

Yeah, but I'm more concern with Suggs, though. It's year 3 and we haven't seen no improvement on the offensive end. I never really watched him at Gonzaga, outside of the National Championship. I just brought in to the hype from all the draftniks, and boy were they wrong. The kid is the SG version of Isaac Okoro. Hopefully, he can turn it around, but like I said, it's year 3, so this might just be who he is. At this point, we're lucky if he turns into Marcus Smart.

As for Black, the kid has a natural feel for the game. Extremely raw, but has loads of potential. He seems to make the right play all the time. Needs to work on his shot and tighten up his ball handling, though.

Suggs offensive game has been the biggest disappointment so far this season. I never seen a guard get his pocket picked in open court more than him. The game just hasn't slowed down for him, and it's year 3 and that's a problem.

Yeah, and if he reaches his potential it will be great to have a 6'7 point guard with lock down defense. Many of us would have just liked the guy who can already play, like Hawkins.

Guys like Hawkins might not reach Blacks ceiling but they come in already knowing how to shoot.

That's why i wanted a big man with the first pick and the best shooter with the second. Many of us wanted Hawkins, i wanted Wallace but either would have been fine. At least Jet fits what i wanted them to draft and if he ends up being a great shooter it fits what we needed. We didn't need Black  with our top pick but if he turns out great i will take all this back.

  10. I'll end this debate. In the past ten years the Magic had many times traded a second round pick and shouldn't have. We had absolute dog**** talent on this team and they could have possibly beaten out someone in the top twelve.

Now we have a roster that's a little too deep and drafted two first rounders. So trading away this years second rounder was a no brainer. Back in the day we had maybe two actual starters (AG,Vucevic) and a whole lot of roleplayers and then **** backing them up.

Every time we didn't use our second rounders during the ten year rebuild it made me angry.
