Probably the only team stupid enough to do it would be Sacramento. Except, it's too late they made a trade with Portland, and Giles has been balling lately. Probably no chance to steal one of their low key players. Would be Bazemore and Dedmon. Still if the Magic had Balls they would trade both Evan and Vuc but they won't.

They have 3 point guards on the roster and a bunch of forwards. We have Evan who can be the third star for them. I think Dallas would be an amazing trade partner for us.

Great article from Lowe about how we have misused Gordon. https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/28482160/ten-nba-things-like-including-luka-doncic-dwight-powell-dance Anyhow, i agree with him....still not sure if Gordon can take that next jump or not. I feel like it's our team not him.

Rock on! I feel the exact same way. I love Dj and have great admiration for Evan. I just feel like they are the past and both will be gone after this year.

Starting to hear the Dallas rumors as well. If Dj is hurt really bad they have a couple of point guards they can send back. What could a trade look like with Dallas that helps both teams? Obviously they want Evan and it would require taking back Lee plus other players. As somebody said i wish we could get Wright but i'm pretty sure they want to keep him.

After watching the game i was reminded that Buddy Ball is what holds this team back. Lets get rid of one of the Buddies. Here is a trade that ships Evan to Detroit. http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=sqq8mo8 Because of our injuries we need another big man. I always liked Snell as a role player. Both players are having career years shooting the 3.Snell is good on defense, i'm not sure about Morris. The most important thing is these guys are role players. They should let our young guys have the ball more. The only problem is Detroit. I can't think of a single reason besides a first for them to do this trade. Edit. This trade also works if you add Dj and Rose. Unfortunately Rose plays the same game as Fultz and he needs the ball in his hands.Having him on the team would hinder Fultz. I hope the Lakers can trade for Rose somehow, it would be fun to watch!

Dillon Brooks is good and part of the future for the Grizzlies.I'm sure you don't know this but the Grizzlies were asked many times to trade him by multiple teams and refused.

It's not a mystery, Gordon always plays better when we run more and penetrate the lane. It sets up his cuts and wide open 3's.Gordon is inconsistent because our whole organization is inconsistent. Things have changed the last 12 months. Hopefully it gets better. Anyhow this is the general thread. It was fun watching the Lakers. They need to dump Bradley and Rondo at the deadline if they want to win a title.Usually you need vets like them in the playoffs when the game slows down. However those two are terrible. Rondo can never stay healthy. Bradley is just a black hole on offense and is useless when the refs notice his dirty play. Shout out to KCP, he looks like a completely different player. This is what confidence can do for some guys.

Magic at Lakers - Wednesday, January 15th @ 10:30 PM

It was a nail biter because i didn't check the score on my phone. Talk about emotions, i just happened to turn it on at halftime of the replay at 3am. I saw the box score on the halftime recap. It showed we were getting good contributions from the bench and Iwundu was starting and leading the team in scoring. When the 3rd started and we went up 20 with all that ball movement, dunks and 3's i was thrilled! Clark, Iwundu and Fultz looked fantastic! When Gordon made the highlight dunk off the backboard i was sure it would be a blowout. Then came all of our missed 3's and all their made 3's. Screw Cook and Daniels! They could't miss in the second half! I really don't get this seasons meme of nobodies having career nights against us.It was pretty scary when we went about 8 minutes without a field goal. Our Vets looked cooked for a second, i'm not blaming them for what was obviously fatigue. Both teams missed a lot of shots and made some really bad plays in the 4th, they were tired. It was surreal how the Lakers missed 3 or 4 easy dunks in the second half.......we don't win the game without it! And finally watching Fultz win the game was amazing. He really is what we need.I wish he could show the rest of our team how to finish through contact.Watching him make Dwight and Lebron look like g-leaguers made me lose my mind! If the Magic can work on conditioning we should always run like we did in the first half.

Shout out to the youngsters. We run great, huge highlights from Fultz,Gotdon,Bj, and Iwundu! Big time plays from Vuc at the end. Special mention on the defense on Lebron and all the stupid mistakes Dwight made!

He has looked better on defense, and i even mentioned his shot blocking.I just said it wasn't elite. I watch most of the games i have seen a few of his great blocks. To me he is expendable because he seems like the project player that get coaches and Gm's fired. He just wasn't drafted quite high enough to be a big bust and Isaac looks great.Combine that with having an all-star playing his position and Bamba and Weltham caught a big break. Nuff said.

    2019-2020 Official Trade Ideas Thread

Honestly guys i liked making the playoffs last year.My proposed trades are all about helping us now while not screwing us in the future. So i keep coming up with trades that keep many of the players people want here. Most of my proposals are with other mismanaged teams. Most of the players i mention are not perfect, but might be a better fit. Or they they could lead to a little more flexibility. I brought up Kings players because they are likely to be dealt if possible. Do i think either trade is probable? Probably not but i know the players i mentioned could help us. It all depends what we give up. People on this board are tired of the status quo.Did you see Bjelica torch us last night? He has done this most of the season. What if we could trade one player and just get him? You don't think it would help us? That's the catch though, they probably want a bad contract gone. So i mention Bogdan, a player who is rumored to be traded to better teams then ours. As usual in 2 weeks he will be on another team but people question his ability to help the Magic. Then of course i mention Dedmon, maybe the price to do business. Sometimes it's worth taking a chance, he played wonderful on the Spurs just two years ago and he is not old yet. Anyway, these are trades that at least seem possible. I could just make an unrealistic trade proposal for stars like Kat, or Beal or other proposals a year too late for Brown or Brogdon. Those proposals are fun but are never happening. Others mention proposals for guys like Morris, or Harris. Some have mentioned Demar or Redick. It's always the same responses, people worried about the money or years, if it's a rental and who we are going to give up! Guys it's time to honestly embrace change. Who are you willing to move on from? Because the idea of not trading away anyone unless it's for a star is bull****. We have to start looking at the teams in trouble. Wolves,Bulls,Kings,Blazers heck even Philly! it's time for us to make a change with some team that's desperate. I picked the Kings because we just played them, they have no center, too many forwards and a shooter heavily rumored to be moved!

He isn't due for a "big" contract. He is due for a contract less then Evan's and would give us flexibility in case Evan opts out. If they both opt out we have some cap space, if one stays for cheap there you go. If the third contract is Aminu it's a win. If it's just Ross and Bamba then no. If we had to throw in DJ and received Bjelica i would do it. I just think the flexibility is important.

Read the various posts about Bamba. I stand by what i said, Bamba's upside is in his soft shooting touch, and his ability to be a shooting center. Without that he looks like your typical super big, long freakish NBA big man prospect who seems to have no ability to play the game. Sorry to be so harsh, just what i see.Every year teams draft about 2 or 3 of them in the top 15. So i agree with TrueMagic fan. In my eyes if we make no moves this season he has to show some of that offensive talent soon.

That's because when you really think about it, it works. First of all it would never happen. It would take the front office going all in to win now and admitting Bamba isn't the future. Not going to happen.Trading Ross would mess with team chemistry, but i could possible see management doing it. On the other hand the Kings would probably do a two player swap in a heartbeat but that wouldn't be enough for us to take the chance, we need Bjelica because of our injuries. We also need shooters! All 3 players shoot the 3. Even though Bogdan and Dedmon are having down years, they are healthy. I could see them reverting to their career averages on our team. The Kings need to start playing all the young forwards they have more minutes. I don't know if they would take Aminu but i bet they would take DJ as the third player, i just didn't want to include him. And for us we keep all the real pieces everyone loves and hates. I just think it gives us a ton of flexibility. If you don't like that one try a trade involving Vucevic. I don't think management has the balls because like it or not he is still our best player(sigh). http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=tdwktor I think the Kings do that in a heartbeat. Just swap out Giles or Bjelica as i'm not sure which one they really want to keep.

    2019-2020 Official Trade Ideas Thread

So glad you posted this! Here is my trade proposal. http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=wckyqro Why the Kings make this trade. It's well known that the Kings made a few signings they regret.3 players in particular Dedmon, Ariza and Joseph. Dedmon is the one they need to get rid of the most. Also it's also well known they can't resign Bogdan because of the Heild and Barnes contracts. In come the Magic, because Ross is cheaper and cost controlled and so is Bamba. If it was just those two i think a deal would be stupid for the Magic but the real upside is getting Bjelica. We basically get 3 players who can shoot the 3. If Dedmon gets back to his usual self i think he is what Bamba's ceiling is, except we get it now instead of two years from now. Bjelica needs no explanation too any of you who watched last nights game. Bogdan is the wild card. Having another wing helps us tremendously this year as he is more consistent then Ross. Next year i'm betting we could sign Bogdan cheaper then Evan and we still have a forward signed cheap who can shoot the 3 In Bjelica.

    2019-2020 Official Trade Ideas Thread

So here is a fun post, not super serious more for discussion. Many of us have said the future is Fultz and Isaac. Agree or disagree let's just make them untradeable. Our two most productive players, at least right now, have to be Evan and Vucevic. So if we want to win now and have a future, these four must stay. When you start talking trades and the Magic one name always comes up.......Gordon! What if i told you we could keep Gordon and still make a trade! Yes sir folks, we do have assets!!They might be fan favorites but Ross,DJ and Bamba are assets!!!This is going to be my main point, we do have players we could trade besides all your favorites.Lets add Aminu's contract as an asset. Sucks that he is injured, but it's not hopeless. Lets evaluate the 3 assets. Ross is a good signing. He is a big guard, can hustle and really learned to play better defense the last two years. However, he is the epitome of streaky. This goes all the way back to his rookie season. Not irreplaceable, but a fan favorite. D.J. is another great guy. He can get really hot from the 3 and has some nifty ball handling skills. Hard for us to duplicate because this team lacks ball handlers. However he has a tendency to over dribble and can be a sieve on defense because he is just too small. Bamba is what he is right now.....not that good. Check out his recent stats. Playing in 8 of the last ten games he is shooting about 45% from the field and 15% from the 3.If he is not the offensive unicorn we dreamed about he is almost useless. He doesn't move well without the ball and he doesn't set screens well.He is not an elite shot blocker either, not bad but not elite. He has been in league one year less then Isaac and while the former looks like a DOTY candidate Bamba looks lost. So in conclusion we do have ways to make a trade without sacrificing our future or this years playoffs.

Yes i agree on this 100% they won't make a move in season. No reason to do it now.

Magic At Kings - Monday, January 13th @ 10:00 PM

We don't have the assets to trade for a star who is already a star. Our best hope is trading for a player that might become a star. My previous trade idea was only about getting us a 7th or higher seed. I'm still all in on trading Bamba and Evan to the Warriors for Russell. Word is that's not enough. You see i would be willing to take that chance, but management wouldn't. Worst case scenario is Russell and Fultz can't play together, no problem. Make another trade. Stay flexible.

Magic At Kings - Monday, January 13th @ 10:00 PM

LOL. Yeah we are pretty mediocre. Still unless the injuries become a problem it's going to be almost impossible to miss the playoffs. I wish we could get Bjelica from the Kings! I would imagine anyone wanting one of their players has to take back the corpse of Ariza or the disgruntled Dedmon. Honestly i would be willing to take one of them if we could get either Nemanja or Bogdan.

Magic At Kings - Monday, January 13th @ 10:00 PM

I was asleep before the 4th. Nice win, maybe a season turning win? Anyhow, the Kings are awful. Not only did they pass on Luka they paid big money to players who do almost nothing for them. In the last 18 months they gave contracts to Barnes,Hield,Ariza,Joseph and Dedmon. Only the Hield and Joseph contracts made any sense. Fire Vlade! One reason why i don't hate the Vucevic contract, or to a lesser degree Gordon's. These guys never quit, they might never be superstars but they play hard and play well. Vuc will produce during the whole contract he's never going to be a Barnes or Bazemore.
