Ok, right on, let me tell you something. During the whole rebuild the Magic drafted two players who i wanted them to draft before the draft and we actually had a chance to draft. Meaning if they were actually drafted before we had a chance i'm not counting them. Not counting Embiid, Porzingis,Tatum,Luka,Trea etc....... Those two players were Gordon and Sabonis. I'm far from a good Gm, i wanted Noel in the Oladipo draft. I'm only telling you i'm a fan of Gordon.Gordon needs to be on a team that has stars the other teams key on. Who is that here? If you can tell me how we can solve this i'm all ears.

Oh c'mon. We need people who can score. To give you an example i would have been thrilled if he was the base of a trade for Russell or part of a 3 team trade that brought back Beasley and assets. We need people that score. I fully understand that he might flourish somewhere else.We need a more balanced team. If we have a healthy,Isaac,Chuma,Aminu and Eniis next year i would have been thrilled if we had gotten either a 25 point per game shooter or a young shooter and draft picks. Both seemed possible considering what other teams did. I fully believe management didn't really try to trade him, just checked his value.
  3. I saw the game. It was terrible and exciting at the same time. Our defense is in shambles compared to the beginning of the year.Luckily we hit some shots and it's a win. Someone needs to tell Ross to slow it down, he misses because he never sets himself before his shot. The other guys played as usual, good job by Fultz and Gordon.

Seriously, once he signed that contract i knew we were screwed. That said i like Vuc and always valued him on his old contract. He will probably put up his 20 and 10 the whole contract. He can be valuable, we just have to run some line-ups next year with Isaac at the 5. Will he be ok with that? If he doesn't pout we can make it work. Basically i think we are stuck with him, unless we can get a dysfunctional team to take him. Had to edit, i think there was a small chance to unload him to the Kings,Hawks and Hornets. Still one team left.

In the summer instead of going for obvious trades we should do a small reboot.Right now the main focus of many teams will be the Timberwolves. The Wolves have Towns and Russell signed for a number of years and two huge contracts coming off the books. Thanks to a brilliant trade they have a number of small contracts and a ton of rookie deals. They will have possibly two lotto picks, although likely a mid round pick(from the Nets). They will have a restricted Beasley who will not be hard to sign and will probably be looking to trade for vets on good contracts to win. This is the best opportunity to build value and maybe get some assets! I hope we go in that direction.

I agree and we should have kicked the bucket on many of the same kind of trades the last few years. We need to get a few guys other teams gave up on or had too much depth to play.Clarkson,Melton and now Beasley are some of the most recent players we missed.

Wolves pull off the trifecta of things we wanted the Magic to do for years. The Wolves overturned the whole roster. Actually 5 things in one trade deadline! 1. Pulled of the trade for a star in Russell. 2. Traded almost nothing for a player another team undervalued. Malik Beasly. 3. Got a fantastic performance from an undrafted rookie, end of bench player.I'd kill for any of our bench players to perform like that just twice a year. 4. Managed to trade away bad contracts. This one amazes me the most from the Wolves and the Heat. Wiggins is obvious and it's up to the Warriors to make this seem better. It wasn't just Wiggins, the managed to trade Dieng by jumping into the heat deal....Unbelievable! 5. Move on from some players who can't score, move in an offensive direction. This one takes balls because the Wolves best player has defensive issues. However, this is a different league now. It's up to teams to get players who fit together who can shoot, then teach them defense. You can't just drop a defensive stopper on your team and hope it fixes everything. So goodbye Covington, hello shooters. TL, DR. Wolves score 140 points beat Clippers do everything Magic should have done. Not sure if they actually start winning more right away but they will be more fun to watch.Shout out to all the various members of this board who had Malik Beasly as a trade target. It's not just the Magic, the Suns stayed put on trade night and had another terrible loss. They should be much better as well. Meanwhile the Kings made some huge mistakes and got rid of two of them. They are starting to look better. The Drummond,Wiggins,Dion,Mozgov,Deng,Westbrook,Parsons, and a whole bunch of other trades show us that any contract is tradeable!!!! Any contract! Fire the whole front office! I would have gladly traded almost anyone on this roster and this years first round pick just to change things up. Now this summer it will be more difficult to do. Most of the teams that just wanted to absorb contracts for picks have no room now!!!!!

Ain't gonna lie, if we go on another win streak like last year i'll probably tune in. The schedule is soft after this month. However until it happens time to watch the other teams. This is the time of the year i start watching the national broadcasts. I have a weird schedule so i watch the late games alot. Portland game are exciting, been really interested in the Pelicans and of course both L.A. teams. Most of the east games i find boring. Don't like the Celtics,Heat or Philly so i rarely watch those games unless we are playing. love watching Toronto, what a great franchise.

Jeff was just on the radio. If you listened to the interview he was very defensive. He was trying to defend his non moves, trumpet our youth and use our injuries as an excuse. Guy sounds like an idiot. I'm tired of bring negative. Here something positive. I hope Dj and Isaac return. If they do we can make a run and play much better. Ennis can help us as these numbers show. https://www.basketball-reference.com/play-index/pcm_finder.fcgi?request=1&sum=0&player_id1_hint=Gary+Clark&player_id1_select=Gary+Clark&y1=2020&player_id1=clarkga01&idx=players&player_id2_hint=Wesley+Iwundu&player_id2_select=Wesley+Iwundu&y2=2020&player_id2=iwundwe01&idx=players&player_id3_hint=James+Ennis&player_id3_select=James+Ennis&y3=2020&player_id3=ennisja01&idx=players Stolen from Orlando Pinstripes. I like watching the Magic when they are healthy so i hope and pray we get our players healthy again.

The NBA has changed so much.In the 90's having guys like Davis,Towns or Embiid would get you 50 wins no matter who you played with them. Now it's all about how you use those players. As mentioned a few posts back the Ibaka trade was a mistake but it could have led to better things. If they had traded Vuc and used Ibaka as a small ball 5 with a couple cheap traditional centers on the roster.Instead we paid Biyombo. Towns should be a huge mismatch if they had the right players. In other news the Grizzlies are going to waive Dion Waiters. We should throw the vet minimum at him so Gordon has someone to smoke with!

Anything is possible, and that is what we must hope for. Just last year, according to analytics, Wiggins was one of the worst contracts in the NBA.This is not opinion, this is a fact if you go back just one year. And yet here we are today. Vucevic's contract is great it declines. Gordon's contract is great also. Evan might opt in. We do have options. Most of the trades we wanted yesterday should have happened last year. If we did anything yesterday it would have been selling low. That being said it a testament to how bad our organization is that we have very little to trade. The second half of our roster has been horrible for years and had little to no interest from teams for multiple years. The front half of our roster has had value, we have refused to cash in that value, probably because of the Dipo trade. Ennis has to be the most disappointing move i have seen in years. Talk about a let down. With our player exception and some Disney tickets we should be able to get a buy out player better then Ennis. How sad.

Posting from work. Some of you really keep drinking the kool aid. This is terrible. Even as a fan realizing they couldn't do much, the product is unwatchable. I turned off the game last night. At least some of the bad teams have exciting players, like Booker and Trea. I've been watching Vucevic,Evan and Gordon for years. I'm the biggest Gordon fan but I'm ready to start watching other teams. Nothing exciting here...

Yeah Miami is kind of a lateral move. Biggest thing they did is keep money of the books in 2021 and get rid of Dion. That's not bad, plus more wing defenders in the playoffs. I find it strange for Memphis because they took on salary for next year. Unless you think it's a way to punt on free agency this summer.Everyone says it's a bad free agent class so why spend money.

I see the front office doing a very small move or saving the 5 million we have to absorb a player after buyouts.I would be on board for a small move, better then nothing. However, if we still had a chance on one big move, this is the one i would do. http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=t85ub8j This is the move talked about at the beginning of the year, i still think it's a great move for both teams. It literally could save the Magic. I also happen to think it could work very well for Golden state. Send them whatever picks they want.

Can we all agree on something. All of our players are very average. So please stop defending them like we have stars. We don't have any. For years now whenever trades come up so many people on here reject so many trade ideas because of our players. Our players are nothing special. Flexibility should be the main goal right now. The Hawks just traded for 2 centers that combined make about as much as Vucevic. Seems pretty stupid. However, they keep getting picks. It's easier to trade one of them with a pick then Nicks 28 million dollar salary. I'm just using this as an example but we are never going to get out of this hell until we start swapping out some of these players. We have to change to a fluid rebuild where we can keep trading until we have players that fit.We already missed out on all the drafts that should have gotten us a superstar. These guys didn't get us a Giannis, not their fault. Bamba isn't Zion, not his fault. We don't even have a heart and hustle team. Thought we did last spring, kinda figured it was fool's gold.

Trade them Gordon for Oubre and Saric and then trade Evan. Reboot. We have Isaac,Chuma and Aminu next year. Can still make the postseason. Imagine this team with a SF and one more shooter.

Confirmed. Aaron Gordon to Toronto for Serge Ibaka. LOL **** like that wouldn't even surprise me, hopefully we actually make a trade. http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=va8gv86 This is a joke but surprised by two things. The trade actually works, at this point it wouldn't even phase me. Double edit: Ibaka has actually played the last two years like we expected. Guy hits 40% of his 3's and plays great defense. Why didn't Henny trade Vuc that summer and use Biyombo's money on a wing? It all could have worked out so much better. I just doesn't make sense............. Triple edit! Never mind i just did some research, almost every player signed that off season was a total bust or overpaid. The few good players we never had a chance to sign.

    2019-2020 Official Trade Ideas Thread

Nah totally different. still wish i was a spy to prove Henny did it to screw us and get back to OKC. I remember specifically almost every news outlet was wondering what the hell the Magic were doing! Neither move made sense including the Biyombo signing, we just talked ourselves into it because we are fans. Philly wanted cap space and up until then Fultz seemed like a bust! Now it is similar in that they used the space to resign a forward and sign a center. Tobias was expected but lets face it nobody expected Horford. That part is weird and it's really not working out for them. They already had Ben, who is a forward. If he is a point guard why the hell did they draft Fultz? They also already had Embiid, a center who is the Sixers best player. So they help Jimmy walk and max Tobias, a forward and give a huge 4 year contract to a center! Now we are talking Magic levels of dysfunction. Honestly the level of dysfunction in the Magic,Lakers and Sixers these last 8 years is amazing.Only the Lakers getting Lebron saved them.Same with Philly, however i sense they can fix it if they make a few moves. They still have talent, lots of it. We have Role-players.
