Didn't watch the game, i played golf. Thoughts...***** Kuzma, We still can't shoot, never will shoot. Screw Dwight, go DJ! When you have extremely inconsistent shooters try something different. We should be running and gunning once Fultz and Isaac come back...even if that's next year. Play a team like the Lakers and have a defense like ours... run them off the floor!

Looks like a was little early on Mario, he exploded in the second half! He still sucks. About my comments on Dipo, he still is under contract next year, i'm just hoping he gets healthy.I am pretty happy Basketball is back. Looking forward to seeing all of our guys play.

Been saying the same thing for years. Nunn and Robinson still lookin good and Herro's shot looked good as well. I'm watching Pacers vs Blazers on NBA TV. It's weird seeing Mario and Oladipo on the floor at the same time. Freaking Mario still makes the worst mistakes and can't hit 3's. Dipo also doesn't look right, i wish him luck going into his contract year.

Of course it will be hard to replace Evan, but this is more telling of the organization then anything. Where are the promising second rounders or G league shooters? We neither acquire them or draft them. On many teams you can see a developmental player or two who has a chance to shine if he gets minutes. Not on the Magic. It's been the guys we drafted in the first round or bust....mostly bust since we traded away 3 huge pieces for crap.Again hate to sound like a broken record but many of the fans saw this outcome years ago. People been saying for half a decade a team can't be good if Vucevic and Evan are your best players. It didn't come out of the blue and it's not hindsight. Low and behold since we traded Tobias both of them have have been our two leading scorers or close to it every year as well as our two highest paid players. If someone wanted Evan to opt out just to move past this era i could understand it. I get it. It's been a long mediocre run and honestly except for the Dipo/Sabonis trade it's been pretty easy to predict. No hindsight needed. TL;DR It will be hard to replace Evan but maybe it's time to let him go.

Eh, if Isaac has to sit out i would be sad but what i'm concerned about is the injury worse then we heard. If it was a tear and he winds up having surgery, then why all this wait? That's the nightmare scenario, he comes back for next season, tears it and is out for the year. Basically two lost years and then we have to decide what to pay him on top of that. We all love Issac and he is the future. I would take off the kid gloves and play him. This is alot like the elbow injuries in baseball. Isaac has had a enormous amount of rest and rehab for what we thought the injury might be. No more amount of rest is gonna help a sprain. Either he has a tear that needs surgery or he doesn't. My statement is gonna sound harsh but 'id rather he comes back and shows possibly that he needs surgery or that he is healthy. It's harsh but if the kid needs surgery all this being overly cautious isn't going to help him, just delay what he really needs.

Yeah the real fear is a team like Dallas coming up with something like 4 years 50 million. I wouldn't worry about the Hornets or the Knicks or a team like that offering him money comparable to his option. It's a team like Dallas or another playoff team offering him 10+ million a year to play for a contender. Life is short i could see him leaving for 12 million a year to play for a good fit.

    2019-2020 Official Trade Ideas Thread

Magic need to trade with the Wolves,Suns, or Kings once the season ends. Basically i'm sticking to the west because trading in the east has so many obstacles.Mainly teams not wanting to trade with rivals and some of the east teams having stubborn front office execs(Bulls,Cavs,Hornets,Knicks.) Suns and Kings are definitely teams that feel they are one piece away and need front court players. Problem is will they give up the wing/scorers we need? Every team needs them and nobody trades them unless they haven't reached their potential yet OR they are about to have cap problems and the player is a second or third option. Sooooo, with all that as a setup. My advice to the Magic is to trade Aaron Gordon to the T-wolves for James Johnson,Jarret Culver and a pick swap this year! Simple, effective works for both sides. I'll start with the Magic. Gordon is a great guy and likely still has upside, but he has had seven years to become a star.He is to me still our best trade asset, because of his skills and his contract. This team desperately needs a guard or wing prospects who can score! Culver is a tier 1 prospect and showed flashes of the scorer he was drafted to be last year. If we had drafted a guard either of the last two years, this is the prototype and we couldn't do better in this draft without hindsight years from now. He is the main piece and we need someone who is young and won't have to be paid for a little while. Next we get James Johnson who makes the salaries work and has one year left on contract. Different style then Gordon, but i believe he fits better next to Issac. Either way he is a serviceable vet who hit the 3 at a greater rate then Gordon the last 3 years. Albeit on only 3 attempts per game but like many older players he knows he is only a complimentary player. And last the Pick swap, which is very important, more for the Magic. T-wolves project to have a top 5 pick which is expensive, especially in a draft with no consensus top players. Also they already have two stars signed and a third player they are about to sign for 14-20 million a year. It's more likely they need a cheaper role player then a shot at a high upside draft pick. On our side i believe we still need another shot at a franchise player, getting another top 3 draft pick is worth it. Ok now from the Timberwolves perspective. They did a fantastic job of changing up the roster. Most casual fans will only focus on the Russell/Wiggins swap. However at the same time they almost completely purged the roster of several veterans the last few years. At the same time they have a ton of wing players on super cheap contracts. Spellman,Evans,Nowell,Layman and the two players who make Culver expendable Beasley and Okogie. They have to pay Beasley this off season not sure what he will cost but since Evan Turner is expiring they have the money. They traded for him and him proved his worth, at least on the offensive side of the ball. They need a young athletic power forward to unlock their roster. Enter Gordon, i assure you once the season ends he will pop up in Timberwolves trade rumors. Since we are taking a bigger chance i see us getting what we want which is Culver and the right to swap picks. Everything about this fits the timeline for the Wolves. The extensions for Kat and and Beasley would start next season and Russell would be in just his second year of his contract. This is why i think they would want Gordon, he fits the roster and his contract is fantastic. Don't get me wrong i would rather be the franchise who has Russell,Kat and Gordon. Unfortunately we got Mario in Kat's draft and we never went after Russell. So we have to be proactive. So here are the advantages for the Magic. We get a young shooting guard with the size and skills to be a two way player. He is not one right now, ain't gonna lie but that is why we could possibly trade for him.He is not a rookie, in my humble opinion getting a second year player is gold because typically players hit in the third year. We get flexibility. I think if Evan opts in having Fournier and Johnson's contract ending after next season is crucial the way things are shaping up for our future. And finally why not take one more swing at a high lottery pick? If we could get the T-wolves to give up the currently 3rd pick in the draft, why wouldn't we try? Had to edit: If it were possible to do a sign and trade for Malik i would probably prefer that as the basis of a T-wolves trade, just don't think that's in play.

Well then a trade has to happen if you want to to be that optimistic. First step is making it through the playoffs with no injuries. Second step is Evan opting into his contract. After that management and yes, you the fans have to with hold your loyalties to specific players. It's time to reshape the roster into a unit that fits together. We do have players and assets that can be traded. It's time but not going to talk about that, i'd rather root for an upset in the playoffs. However reading Evans comments and hearing neither Aminu or Isaac will play i'm not holding my breath.

How can you forget Brandon Jennings! If he had been just an average point guard that trade would actually have been decent. Ersan is still out there getting quality minutes on playoff teams. We just needed a steadying influence at point guard and i bet we never try to trade Dipo. Speaking of Dipo i'm glad we traded him now, i just wish it was a less lopsided trade. If we had kept him we likely would have had one good year and then wondered why this franchise is cursed. With all the time he missed the Magic would be horrible since we aren't a deep team like the Pacers. I'm still pissed they included Sabonis, i loved watching his dad play and was thrilled when we picked him! Holy crap now i hate Henny again why did i bring up these memories! Had to edit once just to bring up the fact that Mario and Elfrid still suck.......

If you read the article it says Orlando would be a possibility. Lets talk about this. I'm not a sports nut so i can think of a few venues, help me out. Obviously Amway and Amalie. All the big universities, i really only know UCF and USF. Wide world of sports? RDV? Obviously we are a large metro area who hasn't had a lot of positive tests yet. What do you think of our chances?

I have a man crush on Matisse Thybulle. I think it was 4thewin who was all over him before the draft? Not only did he impress his first year on the defensive side of the ball, the guy just works hard. His off season videos are hilarious, the Sixers got a good one. Chuma better be good.

After the New York shut down it's pretty hard to see any sports being held this summer. Just about every state is going to follow sooner or later. On a pure selfish level it's the worst kind of disaster, forced to stay home and slowly go broke and no sports to talk about. I miss basketball but i really miss baseball. It might make sense to have the NBA playoffs in late summer or even early fall but it's not gonna make sense to have baseball this year, i'm pretty sure it's gonna be cancelled.

It's looking more and more like the season might be suspended. Two questions for all of you. If it takes a month or two to get back into action, would you want Isaac to come back this year? Question number two, would you feel terrible if they just had the playoffs whenever the crisis ends?

I have to admit i simply did not think the team had this level of offensive play in them. Even admitting the incredible poor shooting to start the season. Strictly from a fan standpoint, the team has been more entertaining to watch.

Good win, i think the whole Evan thing is easy to figure out. Remember when we talked about how Evan is good but needs to have the ball less? Well right now all 3 of our point guards are healthy and balling out. It's that simple. I hope Coach can get this into his head. When he comes back he needs to play team ball, we've all been saying this for years.
