I was under the assumption that Jim has actually been accused of beating his wife. If this was just a loaded question I totally understand and think its quite a good comeback. With that said I still dont appreciate sterns loaded question when the players he oversees dont have the same luxury of free speech.

Im speaking from a personal view. Calling out somebodies integrity in the workplace is totally ok. I answer to that every day. Why did this happen? why did you do that? you did this? explain this? Never would I expect ANYBODY in a professional meeting or what have you question my family no matter what answer or questions I gave them. Is Rome a jackass? Probably I dont know much about him. Should Stern act professionally especially after the way he corners players and coaches for speaking out on things they think are bull****? You goddamn right!! Anything you say on the radio I believe you should be able to say to my face. I honestly dont believe he would of said that to anybody face to face.

So it seems to be down to two since Lindsey and Hennigan will both be meeting Devos this week. Sounds like a solid selection either way. Im excited.

Without watching very much of any of our prospects Wroten seems to be the most intriguing to me. The simple fact that we could have a big Combo G just makes me happy. Everything I've read seems to point that he should be a solid player as long as he works on a few minor things in his game.

Draft, free agency, resigning dwight, interviewing coaches, hiring a coach. Sure theres "plenty" of time.

Feelers? Why wouldn't the Magic just call whoever they are interested in and ask to schedule a interview?(or call the team the assistant GM is associated with) Skip the BS and get down to the meat. Why waste the time with feelers instead of gauging interest by offering interviews to who they were interested in? Didn't they interview prospects from the Spurs and OKC while they were in the playoffs? Honestly what does a assistant GM do during the playoffs?(Yes you said "a lot of times" but why bring it up if it doesn't pertain to the Magic?) Lastly although most businesses may operate in a six week hiring process this is the NBA and isn't most businesses. This basically comes down to time management. We fired Van Gundy and Otis on May 21st. Our last game was May 8th. It took 13 days to fire those two. Does it really take 13 days to evaluate if an employee is performing up to par? From then to now it has been 19 days. That's a total of 33 days(and counting) of decision making. How long does it take? Surely it shouldn't take that long. If (and thats a big if) we make a GM hiring on Monday the 11th that leaves us 17 days until the draft. During that 17 days we must also interview and hire a coach. With the way things are currently going who knows how long that will take. After the hiring of the coach the GM and coach will have to evaluate the current roster. After that they will have to evaluate the players in the draft. I don't know about you but id most definitely like to have more than 10 or so days do so. Now this is all null and void if we already have selected a GM/coach and we are currently awaiting to announce it once the playoffs are over. Time is valuable at the moment and it is slowly slipping away.

Makes sense. So with that said we are probably screwed in that department if this hiring process takes much longer. So I guess im back to my original statement of being dissapointed if takes much longer.

Having a coach isnt important until offseason workouts start though right? When do those usually start?

Looking at the calendar if it is announced by next Friday that still leaves almost two weeks befote the draft. I guess thats enough time so I retract my last statement.

All the interviews are done the hiring/announcement should be done no later than Monday. If it takes longer that ill be highly dissapointed with our time management.

Watching highlights(Ive never seen him play) he looks like JR Smith. Actually one video said thats who he compares to. Id really like this team to change it up and get some big guards who play defense and attack the rim. Would you say its more likely that Ross develops his attack game or Harkless develops a jumpshot? On another note Ive also seen Wroten being thrown about anywhere from mid to late 1st. Whats your opinion on him being that he could potentially be a combo guard? I dont watch a lot of college ball anymore so I know very little about any players outside of the top 5 or so.

Pretty sure we will have a GM by the end of this week and a coach by the end of next week. The draft is only a few weeks a way after all.

I really wish the Magic didnt host this event. There would be a lot better chance I get to see them out here in Vegas. Nonetheless Ill be attending the Vegas one most likely. Fun experience ive been twice.

I think most people want him in the team president role with a GM underneath him that he guides.
