This is where winning games benefiting the team vs playing Payton soley for developmental purposes comes into play. While Payton was sitting and so called not gaining experience and confidence the rest of the 8 players who received ample playing time were gaining experience and confidence. One players development should not be placed over the teams development as a whole. Yes Payton is the future and yes he needs to build confidence but his time will come. The kid is obviously very talented everyone including JV can see that. JV just signed an extention....I highly doubt him trying to keep his job is his sole reason for not playing Payton. We are only 12 games into a long season...Payton sitting a few games in no way means we are bringing him along slowly. Maybe he had a bad week of practice. Maybe an ankle isnt feeling right. Maybe this maybe that but we are 12 friggin games in. Pump the breaks! A wise man once said R-E-L-A-X.........

I agree completely about Payton. I have no problem with his limited playing time while he learns what being an NBA player consist of. As long as he works hard his playing time will grow as he grows and the season gets deeper. This kid was a late lottery pick not someone who was going to lead a team from jump street. He needs to develop plain and simple.

I havent watched the game but are people complaining about Ridinour over Payton because thats the "it" thing to complain about? Statistically Ridinour is having a pretty solid game and we are winning....Whats the issue?!?!

Take advantage of them? You do realize how good the Bulls were last year without Rose? With or without Noah and Rose the Bulls ate clearly better than us.I'm not sure it shows an ineffective strategy but more so a lack of chemistry and talent on our part. 4 games in we should be prepared for what the league has to offer? Uuummmm..... Also the playoffs were never an option for anyone who put their inner fan aside.

Holy smokes am I impressed with Payton. I honestly thought he would be a turnover machine based on the preseason but he has realed it in and other than the one game against WA he doesn't have more than 2 turnovers in a game including tonight so far.

Im pretty sure there is a policy that disallows "veterans" from being sent to the D-League without their permission. I cant see Willie Green choosing to go that route at this point of his career.

I was looking at it from a possible stance of Victor playing PG/SG and Derozan playing SG/SF. It may not work out but was just a thought. I can never picture a top Spurs player leaving the Spurs and Pop. I feel its nearly impossible. Also I dont see Klay Thompson ever being anything more than a role player.
