Long 2s are terrible shots. A 3 point shot is hit more often.

Looks like the play was drawn up well. Vuc tripping didnt help at all. Still wish Dipo would of drove and not pulled up for one the most inefficient shots in basketball.

I recently noticed how young he was as well. It's pretty incredible how good he is at his age. I am supremely jealous that he is not on our team.

When I first saw those numbers I thought "Ehhh those numbers are ok at best". I looked it up and surprisingly he would be in good/solid company with numbers like that. Without the Peak qualifiers he is in even better company obviously. How in the heck do you embed the basketball reference picture?

It's pretty weird he has been so quietly consistent this entire year. A lot of his shots come from near the basket or in transition so there havent been many "splash" plays to have the thought "wow Harris is balling". I cant figure out who or what he is but I really like what he has done this year. The only recent team with a player like him I can think of is Det and he would be Tayshaun Prince.

To add when we started the season and had all those close games Skiles also drew up pretty terrible late game plays which he then blamed on lack of practice. Inbound plays out of timeouts are something you should never do badly.

Forgive my ignorance but I had no idea Vuc went to USC for three years. I'm saying this because whenever I hear him speak I just think inner city urban guy which he obviously is not. I thought he was a typical drafted out of Europe Euro. Makes sense now....

I've seen that but the first layup he missed in that sequence was a blow by(like many of his misses) and he simply looked flat after the jump which led to the miss. I really think he needs to learn to slow down at the point of explosion and elevate instead of letting his momentum take him forward and not up. His hand was pretty far from the rim on both layups.

Does Oladipo need to start exploding upwards rather than forwards? He seems to float forwards instead of elevate. He has gotten very little elevation off his last two drives. This may be the reason he misses so many layups.

That's pretty much why I was asking. I've seen people yell about a star player while others yell about improvement and Im just not sure where we would be with either unless it was a Lebron KD kind of guy or one of our guys turned into one. Both nearly have a 0% of happening. So if neither of those happen how in the hell do we become realevant? The Miami route?

So what are we missing?

Hypothetical Question here: If our current players stay the course and improve marginally over 2 years or so what are the Magic missing? Would it just be a star player? Would a player like Wall over Payton make us lwgitiment contenders in the East? I see a lot of talk about improving shooting ect. and what not which I agree with but I see us just missing that one superstar with or without major improvement. Although I guess a Payton-Wall is a major improvement.

If they don't win this year something will change. They just got a new coach next will be players. They aren't trading Westbrook or Durant. No one else is worth a damn so Ibaka would be the guy to go. No idea if this would actually happen just how I would see it playing out. Also I agree about how good he is I'm just not sure if he is good enough to translate into a significant improvement in wins.

I think the most realistic piece we could get is Ibaka. I'm just not sure if it would really change anything as far as win-losses.
