It was just a bad draft. Sucks that we had a #5 overall pick and the board turned to crap as soon as our turn is up. Same with this years draft. Board instantly turns to crap when Orlando is on the clock. And 2014 draft just hurts. Aaron Gordon is a pretty good player and all, but Embiid got taken right before us. I guess we just need to tank harder and/or get luckier in the lottery.

Our bench looked better than our starters last night. Simmons really needs to be on the floor. Portland going on that 17-0 run before half really killed this game. It was just pathetic how many times they turned the ball over during that stretch.

I'd love to see Kyrie Irving in Magic blue. Shame we have jack crap to offer anyone since our team is utter trash, but it's nice to dream.

I've been a fan since 92, and I'm as discouraged as I ever have been. To suffer through last season and to suffer through the several last seasons only for us to get the 6th pick and JUST miss out on getting Fox, who was in my opinion the last franchise-changing player in the draft. Well it just sucks. On top of that our front office clearly doesn't have the slightest clue what they're doing. I can take losing seasons if it's building to SOMETHING, but the last few seasons were just a complete waste of time.

What is this guy Hennigan doing? Just about every move he's made has been awful. I was excited when we drafted Sabonis. I thought we were building a nice young team with some actual options. Then we trade for Serge fricking Ibaka. What?! I guess we have Mario Hezonja and Elfrid Payton still....LOL...good lord this season will be more painful than the previous seasons. Changes need to be made. This guy doesn't have a clue what he's doing in my view.

I predict a 6-8 seed. Which isn't very good in this conference, but it would be progress. I predicted a 7/8 seed last year. With the talent we have on the roster I feel like we should be a top 5 team in the east pretty soon.

Well yeah, but I'm still pretty disgusted with the effort to be honest.

Guys just standing around. It's terrible. I'm a lifelong KU guy so obviously I've cut Jacque Vaughn a lot of slack but this team looks confused on both ends of the floor.

I don't care if we suck, I just wanna see all out effort. Right now it's like "Oh a screen. Guess my dude's just gonna have an open shot."

Good lord. Box out! This type of crap really makes me miss the heart and hustle team.

Watching this team attempt to play defense is just painful. Actually all around the NBA so far in this young season all I've seen is lazy lazy defense.

I miss the Orena and the loud crowds that use to accompany it. Oh the good ol days. I've been feeling nostalgic when it comes to the Magic recently. Been watching a lot of games from 95-98 on youtube. Just watched games 3, 4, & 5 from one of my favorite series, which is the 97 first round against the Heat. Obviously we lost so the ending was bitter, but the comeback and watching Hardaway's performance was fantastic. I was very emotionally involved in that series at the time. It was also the emergence of my favorite NBA player, Darrell Armstrong. I used to see him sitting on the corner of the court when he was an unknown 12th man, hoping we had a blowout win so he could come in for the final minute or two. He almost always came in and electrified the crowd with a steal and crazy dunk. Anyway, sorry for the aimless rant in this game thread. Carry on. Down to a 9 point Magic lead. Hope they hold it together.
