  1. The Goga thing is interesting. I don’t think he is a better player than Wendell but I do think he looks more physical. Also wonder if paradoxically him not having a 3 pt shot in his arsenal is helping him, as he never really finds himself spending too much time in the perimeter outside of screens.

Will be interesting to see how rotations go when WCJ is back.

Im a huge homer, but our tournament court design is the best out there! just gorgeous!

After years of design fails, we’ve finally upped our game. Jerseys, court design. Everything is on point

The jerseys are so boring to me, no connection to the city despite being the city edition.

The court is fine, but I think it is only because we have gray as one of the primary color s. Much more easy in the eye than bright teal or purple lol. I think the city courts would be so much better if it was just the colored stripe down the middle with regular harcourt around it. Maybe that wouldn’t be flashy enough tho

  3. Some absolutely weird stats from the latest NBA.com power rankings:

    • The Magic’s half-to-half differential remains amazing. They’ve lost their last four second halves by a total of 69 points. But they had halftime leads of 17, 15 and 34 over the last three games. For the season, they’ve been an incredible 39.2 points per 100 possessions better in the first halves of games (plus-22.0 per 100, best by a wide margin) than they’ve been in second halves (minus-17.2 per 100, second worst).

I don’t see a realistic and perfect trade target for us right now.
We ain’t getting that All Star type player back.
Also not getting next tier like Simons.

So maybe we settle for someone like Cam Thomas. He could be a nice fit for us. Is it realistic? i don’t know..

We could swing for J. Poole if the Wizards decide to move him, because he’s not a number 1 option. I wouldn’t mind him as i believe our coach would actually get him to buy in and let his ego go away

Yeah I don’t know that there is an exact fit out there who could become available who would fit into the starting lineup

Haliburton in the 2 games before this combined was 32 assists and 0 turnovers. Haliburton against the Magic 3 assists, 4 turnovers. Magic defense is legit. Jalen Suggs should be all defense if he keeps this up.

Also was out there getting buckets. I’m sure he will still have some stinkers this year but to me he has already this season had more nights showing he is a legit starter.

While I’m a big fan of Fultz and was hoping for AB in the draft, I actually think if we were to try and make a big swing trade it should be for a PG shooter. A Darius Garland type, tho he would be impossible to get

Joe Ingles looks every bit like a guy at the end of his career coming off a major injury. He seems great for the locker room and chemistry, but the sooner one of the kids can supplant him in the rotation the better. With GH being out I think Anthony Black has taken advantage and earned minutes even when Harris returns. Wouldn’t surprise me if Black got the Ingles minutes if Joe keeps struggling

I know it is not a perfect stat, but it works be unfair to Joe to not mention he had a +27 yesterday

Since the best teams are most likely to win, why would you want to give them extra chances in the draft lottery?  Or am I missing something?

I’m not saying that they would propel a playoff team into the top 4 or anything. Yeah generally the best teams will win and the amount of odds they get will be slim and won’t affect anything. There would probably have to be a clause that unless you actually win, you keep your regular draft slot.

But the one time it does happen will make everyone freak out and start to take it seriously. I guess it depends on how serious the NBA is about making the tournament a thing. It needs to have some kind of stakes if we want teams to engage with it. Plus we already know the league wants to curtail tanking and I think this would help

it’s always about money.. they should actually reduce the amount of regular season games imo and play a separate in season tournament (march madness style)

Use January to get this done. Winner team gets cash for the players, teams get some kind of extra lottery balls for the upcoming draft.

This would make the fans care for it more as your favorite team gets extra lottery balls for the upcoming draft. And players would care because of money reasons. Winner also gets a smaller ring, MVP honors for the tournament.

I bet there are several possibilities other than just squeezing in regular season games and promote it as a tournament.

in my book it’s only regular season games. I don’t care at all for who is going to win this tournament

Lottery balls as the prize would be awesome. A legitimate reason for all teams to try and win, even tanking teams. It’s perfect. And because of that they will never do it lol

If he becomes even a league average shooter it dramatically increases his impact on the floor.

Edit: it is interesting to me how all the big time roomies last year had a big second year slump except Franz. I don’t think a slump from Paolo in year 2 should be unexpected or even a bad sign, but I will not be surprised if his work ethic along with this staff prevents that from happening

Agree about 6 for Cason …but 6 was AB ceiling …we could have traded but didn’t …sure you know I’m not the only one that’s said if he’s gonna be off ball a lot he’s not the ideal pick for us …we shall see

Takes two teams to trade. Easy to just say we could have done it and assume there were tons of offers

To me it’s about potential. AB’s ceiling is much higher.

Also, I don’t think anybody considered Cason at 6. If you want to talk to me about him at 11 and allowing OKC to leap us to steal him, I think that’s a more worthwhile talk.

Unfortunately the draft would have needed to go a different way for us to have considered Wallace. Weren’t taking him at 6 and can’t take him after Black. He will be a good player

Love that Harden's bluff was called by Philly. Reports today indicate Ime didn't ever want him in Houston, so Harden and his agent were leaking that to the media. Having watched the intensity and team play of the finals the last few years, I doubt Harden ever wins a ring. He's too into iso ball, seems to wilt in the playoffs, and doesn't seem to be a team guy.

If they aren’t able to pull off harden for Lillard three way they have to look at their off-season as a failure

Yeah nobody said Lebron sucked and that’s all I’ll say to this post …I just remember when we got Shaq we immediately became playoff contenders just missing the playoffs …were 41-41 his first year and Shaq played with a bunch of scrubs

Shaq is one of the 10 best players ever. Of course Paolo isn’t as good
