just watched the new Reddick, Lebron episode and their talk about playoffs. Lebron talks about how detailed the work is and how he loads up so much information…

and then i watch Mosley talking about not overloading players with information lol..

    we‘ll see if that’s a good approach

I think it is a natural thing that Lebron at the end of his career can probably do a lot more in terms of information load than a bunch of young guys in their first playoff experience

I don’t know who they’ll get but I think it is unlikely they don’t shell out to hire a very good coach. They’ll probably be fine

So the jury is out on the hire, but I think the actual thing that will hurt them most is all the players and recruits are leaving

It's going to take a while, though. I bet Arkansas has more success than Kentucky over the next five year.

Look up the history of G league MVP.  Only 2 of them have ever been real NBA players and neither of them were guard/wing scorers. It's all well and good scoring 25 points as a number 1 option against worse competition but nobody in the league is ever going to let him be the number 1 option because the bar to be an on ball scorer in the league with any kind of efficiency is super high. Cole Anthony would probably average 30 in the G league.

I’m not suggesting he could score that much in an NBA game ever (though Malachi Flynn scored 50 the other night so who knows). I just wonder why he hasn’t been able to land anywhere as even a rotation or end of bench spot.

True. We need that lead guard. If we can get Suggs to give us what Gary Harris gave the Nuggets in his third and fourth season (pre-injury) on offense to match his elite defense, it could do wonders for this squad. But we need to move on from Cole, Harris and Fultz, though.

For what it’s worth, Cole and Fultz both had a positive plus minus.

My takeaway is this was a good get-right game for Paolo on offense which I think has a cascading effect on the rest of the unit. First quarter notwithstanding we showed we were the better team, even despite letting them back in a bit at the end. Ingram was out sure, but they were still in must win mode so I think that is encouraging.

I guess it’s better to be slumping now than 3 weeks from now, but yeah, I don’t have a lot of optimism on the playoff run. If we wind up in the play-in, I’m not even sure we make it past ATL or Chicago with how we’ve been playing. It was great to finally see Mose show some emotion and call out the team for poor play.

I’m not even sure I would say we are slumping. The three losses in a row weren’t great but they were also single digit contests against decent to good teams. Admittedly I was only able to watch small parts of some of the games. Paolo has certainly been playing a notch below average tho

Right now? I see him Suggs like. A defensive minded guard that can make connective passes but needs to work on shot and handles.

They really aren’t all that alike stylistically. I see Black in the mold of what Shaun Livingstone was on the warriors

  8. I don’t think they do it. But Dejounte is basically the ideal trade candidate for the team as currently structured. Position of need, already signed long term, age fit, ability fit. Sort of a Goldilocks outside of him not really being a star compared to what we probably would need to give up. The personality fit is a question though and I do question if they would really want to make a big add in the middle of the season tho. But I hope they done we need another ball handler

Dalton Knecht had 39 points last night against Florida.

He's obviously a good shooter and he's got touch around the basket. From what I've seen he's a pretty solid ball handler and a willing passer too. His man defense is pretty bad but from a help perspective he looks passable from what I've seen. He's 6'6, shoots it, looks comfortable as the pick and roll ball handler, that's interesting. In this draft worth a pick in the 20s probably.

Was out there looking like Larry Bird. I dunno what his draft projection of but I’d take him
