And Embiid has shown a rather versatile potential offensive game

A little preemptive to say we should trade the pick for Noel. If it ends up like 6 or later then ok. Noel doesn't really fit at all though

If we could get Boogie without giving up our pick someone in Sacto should be fired lol. Lets take this even further: Trade Vuc plus future picks for Boogie, swap Harris for Butler. Get Thibs. Win lotto and add Towns/Russell That team goes to the ECF -

I think of the top level FAs, Butler is the most realistic (assuming we get Thibs). Maybe they don't want to pay max and man's we entice them with a Harris-Butler swap -

The NBA -
Spacing is bad enough as it is and you think adding a non-threat on offense is a fit?

If that is the case why have WCS so high? He doesn't really even fit in the lineup

The teams performance is not the issue -

Say all you want about that highlight reel thing, but the Suns were the better team that series and would have won if not for Horry assaulting Steve Nash. Everything went downhill for Dantoni after that. His system absolutely worked with the right players though. He probably would not be an effective coach now because basically every team uses his concepts -

I can't fathom why we are even debating Skiles. If we are going toward a defensive coach I would much prefer Malone who is still a young coach and can improve, -

Yeah you're probably right. 08 was the year Baron left and they tried to retool around Monta. I guess they committed to the rebuild after they drafted Steph -
One of the things that impresses me with Hezonja is how he basically has no regular minute rotation but produces whenever Barca decides to throw him out

The only "problem" with the OKC model is that you have to land a top 10 player in three consecutive drafts A better model to copy would be what the Warriors did: Drafted Steph, Drafted Klay, traded previously-drafted Monta for Bogut, drafted Barnes and Draymond, and then why out to bring in FAs. But most importantly they developed all of those players, and nine it these guys were top 5 picks. They also locked up Curry for way less than he is worth now Now I don't think their model is perfect. They drafted Anthony Randolph the year before Curry, Expe Udoh the year after, traded Jamal Crawford for Acie Law, and they picked Barnes over Andre Drummond. They also basically started the process in 2008 and didn't talk start showing any progress until a few seasons ago. -
Chemistry is important, but players who want to be great will fit in wherever because that is what helps a team win It's the difference between Kobe and Carmelo. Just have to figure out where Mario is on that spectrum

Well that is a concern with anybody Belinelli has turned into a good player with the Spurs

I'm trying to figure out what for years you are taking about. In 2000 he took a squad to the national championship. The next five years he has a bunch of teams who were good in the regular season but choked on the tourney. Then was the back to back squad. Then he lost all those players, missed the tourney two years, and then took a new team to the whole eight. Then all those players left and he took a new team to a couple elite eights and a fourth final four appearance. (Then of course the debacle this year.) I don't know which, if any, college coaches are qualified to make the jump (I personally wouldn't hire from college) but I know that there were posters on here who said they want Shaka, who runs the same system, and Tony Bennett, who is like Billy but without an offensive scheme. Neither are as good coaches, though, and neither as good at what they do as Billy -

Won't get Kawhi, think the Dubs match any offer on Draymond, but a Thibs-Jimmy Butler connection could be feasible -

Sure, but is Harris a talent worth keeping? I suppose we will have to wait to see the new coach and thus what kind of system he brings, but he doesn't really work with the team we have in the role he is playing I guess I would rather have him than lose him for nothing but still -

Gentry is the poor mans d'antoni -
One of the reasons I am not necessarily on board with signing Draymond is that we have a player in Gordon who could feasibly do the same things as him. However I'm also not really on board with Aaron Gordon being the starting 4 next year as he still needs to bulk up and ideally grow a couple inches lol

Poll: Would You Rather Have Vooch or Howard?
Jason Funderburker replied to Soul Bro's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
Vuc is also more likely to age better as his game relies very little on athleticism
