Ennis is a good player but not one you throw the full MLE at -
2021 Official NBA Draft Day Thread (Let's Go!!!)
Jason Funderburker replied to Soul Bro's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
As I was out with some coworkers last night my eyes were not in the draft, so it was super fun getting texts out of nowhere that we got Suggs. I also like the Wagner pick because he looks to at the very least be a good complementary player, and he fills the need for a big wing which no one else on the roster really did. Trading the 2nd happened as we all predicted, tho it would have been a neat story for Preston to end up back in Orlando. -

If they pick Kai Jones it is clear they have learned nothing -
Cooper at 33 would be neat. Too bad we won’t keep it lol
-
Dang Pels really trynna get that cap room
-
I would trade up for him no question. I’m sure some other team would love to try and tap Bamba’s potential
-
The energy, the activity, the havoc caused on both ends. How good he will be idk, but it was easy to see he was better than the rest of the players on the team

Anyone else see the Pelicans hire Willie Green and totally forget they even had an opening -
I find this bizarre because as a non-fan every time I saw them he absolutely popped
-
All of the above
-
I think we would have no business picking Duarte because of his age, but he is an NBA player right now.
-
My answer is who cares. None of the players we have are good enough atm to worry about it
-
You absolutely take Suggs. I would then take Bouknight
-
Bouknight and Giddey? Would at least be interesting to watch
-
Not saying that we won’t draft him, but I don’t think generalizations about the style of basketball the new coach wants points to any draft prospect over another
-
Bates is still a super prospect, but I think he hasn’t developed this past year to the extent people were expecting when they previously started anointing him

Like young Lebron, he just seems to have a freak body that can withstand what would be injuries for normal players -
On the other hand, drafting multiple players who play the same position hasn’t seemed to deter this front office thus far

I think the latter is a distinct possibility. He faced the same challenge in Brooklyn that he would here, only to succeed and still get fired when Durant came in and didn’t want to be coached by him. Orlando is certainly not the free agent draw that Brooklyn is, but I can imagine he doesn’t want to put himself in that position again -

Admittedly this opinion is based on nothing but my opinion that the pool of potential coaches is lackluster, but even then there is really no way of knowing how good a coach will be, especially from the outside. Even the assistants we hear about who are talked up as future head coaches aren’t always (or even usually) good. i wanted Udoka because of his long playing career, and his history on the bench of very good teams as an assistant. These aren’t necessarily signifiers of a good future head coach, but they aren’t nothing. Unseld never played in the league and most of his coaching tenure has been spent in Washington, not a team one would call successful, and his failed time on the bench here, and in the end neither of those things could mean anything either. In the end barring lucking into a star in the middle of the lottery, whoever we hire is bound to be fired anyway -

CP3 was the first player I considered my favorite when I started actually following the NBA. Remember the disappointment when his Hornets were the 2 seed and lost to the Spurs in the playoffs. So glad his day is finally coming, can’t imagine either East team beating them -
Could say the same thing about you suggesting Keon Johnson, a 2 who can’t shoot
