Everything I've seen or heard was that Parker wanted to be drafted by the Bucks and was very happy to be there. He'll certainly be there for 8-9 years if he's as good as advertised anyway. He's from Chicago but Milwaukee isn't far from there, it's not like he's far from home.

Payton for 3?!
-
This game might be rough for us, with most of the guys having taken off to Vegas we only have 8 players and about 5 of them are PG's.
-
Seriously the first thing we need to do in training camp is teach Aaron to box out.
-
We have a game today at 8am ET just incase you guys weren't aware.

Oladipo is a Washington native, should I expect to see him move to the Wizards?
-
Then you don't know much about Jabari.

who's in, who's out - roster spots, draft picks and contracts
CTMagicUK replied to Stu Bronsilino's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
Interesting. I assumed we'd wait and see how the season went. If we can get them locked up at market price or below rather than somebody throwing them a ridiculous offer sheet I'll be very happy. -
Does Henny know what he is doing poll?
CTMagicUK replied to the notorious S.A.C.'s topic in Orlando Magic Forum
Simmons doesn't know as much as he thinks about basketball. "somebody tell Channing Frye that in pick and pop the other guy needs to be a shooter" that's just so wrong. -
Aside from the turnovers Payton has such an efficient play style. He doesn't dominate the ball. He's a pass first player and he only, for the most part, takes shots at the rim. He'll obviously need to become at least a midrange shooter and clean up his turnovers but if he does he can be a really good PG in the NBA.

Moving ahead, Gordon will be a "3" (SF)
CTMagicUK replied to ball junkie's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
Say what you want about his offense, on defense he's a beast. -
Oh didn't see this before I made my post but yea I agree. Gordon has great lateral quicks.
-
Pressey played legitimate minutes in the NBA last year at PG (albeit on a bad Boston team) and whenever Gordon has switched on to him he's played very good D.
-
That block/charge with Gordon and Smart might be the worst call I've seen this summer league.
-
Smart really likes that 3 ball.
-
Yea that makes me cringe for the guy who wrote it.

He got his reputation from clashing with a coach that apparently nobody liked and who got fired after one year. Seriously, here's a tweet from the day Dunlap got fired: Anything to add on the fact that our front office has worked with him before extensively?
-
-
Did you only read the 1st 10 words of that post? Did you ignore the stuff where it already seems like he's starting to bond with our young guys and that our front office has extensive experience with him?

I have a theory about Green. (it's nothing more and I'm not sure it's very plausible myself it's just something I thought about). There were rumors when we picked up Green that Doc was livid because his plan had been to waive Green to create some cap room and then resign him again for the minimum when the rest of the roster was set. If that's true the only real reason would be that he and Chris Paul are apparently very good friends. Now Green hasn't been spotted in Orlando yet as far as I know and he hasn't been interviewed by any Magic writers either so I can only imagine he's still in LA probably upset that he didn't clear waivers. My thought was perhaps the Magic will try and squeeze some cash or a 2nd round pick or something out of LA in a trade so they can get him back and appease CP3. I don't know how plausible (cap or CBA wise) that is but it was just a random thought.

Does it matter if he's been considered it before? I posted a pic in the summer league thread of he, Harkless, O Quinn and Tobias together after a workout. I'm sure he has words of advise for guys, he's played in the playoffs, he's been a good scorer in this league. The FO have 2 execs who worked with Gordon previously, I trust their opinion of him over the preconceived notion that he's a cancer.
-
So Frye can develop guys off the court but Gordon can't?
-
B. Gordon already seems to be getting along with the young guys (didn't know where to put this we don't have a "offseason" thread)

Adrian Wojnarowski @WojYahooNBA · 35m Cavs pressed Celtics/Nets officials to complete paperwork on 3-way trade in last hour, needed it done "immediately." Cap space is clear now.
