Some Magic guys are playing Fiba ball this year so we can get a look at how they've (hopefully) improved but aside from that yea there's not really much else to look forward to this off-season.

Chalmers getting paid 4 million a year. Jameer should get 6 per on this market.

Yup, traded Lin and a first to clear space for Bosh, who they didn't get and replaced Parsons for 900k with Ariza for 8 million.

To add to the "Gordon doesn't play impact defense" discussion from earlier, this article (My link) has some great stuff on the Arizona defense (#1 in the country last year) and how Gordon was a big part of it, but also how it limited him.

Thought he'd get more than that. I guess he wants to try and get more money when the new TV deal hits. Heat look like they'll make the playoffs still.

Is Orlando a desirable free-agent destination?

Let's not forget we play in the weaker east which is an advantage.

Rockets gave Ariza the same deal we gave Frye. Looks like they'll let Parsons go. Pierce to the Wizards was a surprise.

We have a top 40 protected 2nd round pick from the Lakers this year I believe. And we traded our own 2nd round pick in the Payton deal so it's possible we only have 1 pick this year not 2.

Moving ahead, Gordon will be a "3" (SF)

Someone said Irving was a good defender!! Hahahahahahahahaha!

Because we'd have had to pay a lot more than that to get him. Hes a good signing for Thunder though.

Yea, the biggest thing they have that Miami didn't really have (with Wade declining) is guys who can get their own shot when Lebron is out of the game. If they can play Lebron less minutes and extend his career that's better for both sides.

I think they'll have a lot of trouble. Irving Waiters Lebron/Wiggins Lebron/Thompson Varejao Is what they have at present. That team has 3 players who are all far more effective with the ball in their hands than off the ball (Lebron, Irving, Waiters). It struggles to space the floor (even Kyrie only shot 31% on catch and shoot 3's last year) and it has very little defense. Also Varejao plays about 40 games a year so it loses it's best big man pretty easily. Although actually I can imagine Waiters on the bench and Mike Miller or Ray Allen starting at the 2. Even if they get Love and keep Wiggins and they role out this: Irving Wiggins Lebron Love Varejao They still don't have great spacing (but better). And there defense doesn't improve very much since Love would rather turn and grab the rebound than even contest a shot. Or again they play one of the Miller/Allen at SG instead of Wiggins and bench the #1 pick. What lineup will they even role out in the 40 or so games that Varejao is unhealthy? Irving Ray Allen/Mike Miller Wiggins Lebron Love That lineup spaces the floor a lot better but still gives up a lot of points with Love having to guard down low. Vucevic would have a field day playing that team. The Cavs, on paper, look really talented but they've got a lot of problems and a coach who's never coached in the NBA (I actually think he's a good coach from what little I've seen of his teams) who'll have to sort it all out.

Gordon, at the age of 18, has probably the most defensive awareness of anybody in this draft, at Arizona he was almost always in the right spot on defense in terms of rotating and helping. He is in no way a bad off the ball defender. Steals =/= defense.

Offering Parsons that big deal cost the Mavs VC, signed for 3 years 12 million with Grizz.

Noel still yet to play an NBA game while Dipo looking like a potential all star shooting guard but yup damn Henny.

This is the problem with the media though. Guys say stuff like this and if in 4 years time Gordon is an All Star these guys will never get called out on anything. Instead they'll be on TV saying what a great job Rob has done building this team and what a great player Aaron is.

Apparently down to Chicago and Spurs for Pau. If the Spurs get Pau they'll have to be favorites for another championship.
