Id prefer 4 years for 50 than 5 for 55, we only get 1 5 year extension (as I understand it) and I don't think Vuc is good enough to warrant it.
  8. Afflalo has to just have been forgotten, no way he's not a top 10 sg.

    Our schedule

I'm struggling to find games I'm not excited about. Most games fall into 3 categories: they have an exciting rookie I want to see, I think we can get an upset win (or just a win in general) or theyre a full on contender with exciting players. Even then there are also plenty of games against former players and coaches to keep things interesting.

This means less than nothing in my opinion. So the other rookies don't think our rookies will win rookie of the year? Who cares?

    Playoffs?

I'd say the decision to play fast is more based on personnel. Love is one of the best outlet passers in the game, Lebron is the most terrifying transition player in the game and Kyrie isn't half bad at running either. Focus on defense is something all teams should do, it's not really a trend but more a requirement for a championship caliber team. Stretch 4's are obviously a valuable commodity in today's game with the need to space the floor and that looks like it will continue to trend upwards with teams playing bigger 3's at the 4 or asking their conventional 4's to spend the time learning to shoot.

Zach Lowe's new article on NBA Bigs is pretty good evidence as to why Kristaps Porzingis will probably be a top 5 pick. - http://grantland.com/features/the-nbas-bigs-problem/ Porzingis is a 7 footer who blocks shots at a high rate and looks likely to develop into a legitimate 3 point threat.

I don't know what the odds are but you've got to think 1 out of 8 1st round picks (Nicholson is the 8th) would become an All Star especially when you consider all of them were top 20 picks, 3 of them were top 10 picks and 2 of them were top 5 picks.

There's a nice little article on the Magic's website about O Quinn and the work he's doing this offseason. Kyle has really become one of my favorite players, primarily due to his personality off the court (and the beard) and I know he's a guy who I'll always be rooting for to stick around in the NBA whether we keep him past this season or whether he moves on.

Damn... Praying for PG to return to 100% no matter how long he's out. Freak accidents like these are the worst... Pacers are screwed, if they had an exec that wasn't Larry Bird I'd expect them to tank but pretty sure Larry won't be down for that.

I'd like to give Harris a similar deal to Lance Stephensons new deal in Charlotte, 3 years, last year player option, 9 mil a year. Thats a deal that could be beneficial to both sides in the long run.

Apparently we've structured Siva's deal so he'll be with us up to a certain point in preseason or whatever and then we'll waive him but, due to (maybe new?) rules we'll retain his rights and he'll play for the Bayhawks in the D League. Because he's clearly taking a pretty big pay cut staying in the D League as opposed to playing in Europe we've also structured his deal so he gets a decent amount of money from us. In other news Osby signed for a French team, if I had to guess I'd say he got offered the same deal as Siva but opted instead for the more money.

I like Siva as this seasons Ronnie Price, tough guy who can really defend at the PG position but isn't great in other areas. That's now, by my math, 16 guys with contracts heading into preseason. Be interesting to see whos left by the time the season starts.

Yea as sad as it is to say, I'm rooting for Kobe to get back to full health and carry that Laker team to respectability. If he does we'll get a 2nd rounder this year and a good shot at a 1st rounder in 2017.
