I actually think the Knicks have a shot at a late seed too, they added Afflalo, Lopez, Derrick Williams and KOQ so now they have actually NBA players to play alongside Melo.

If they make the playoffs Paul George should get MVP consideration. They have 3 big men on their roster: one of them fouls more than KOQ and shot 30% from the line last year, one of them is a 19 year old rookie and the other is a decent rebounding big man who's a terribly inefficient offensive player and draws fewer fouls than Vuc. EDIT: Or the East just sucks more than I can imagine.

To beat that Cavs team with Mahinmi and Lavoy Allen starting up front he'd have to be prime Jordan.

I'm down to offer Quincy Acy 3 years 12 million with a team option in year 3. I like him, hes tough, he hustles, he's pretty entertaining to watch and he fills the beard quota left by KOQ. Then maybe try and capitalise on a team who has a desperate need for post scoring or wing defense and thinks they can rejuvenate Nicholson or Harkless. After that I'd call it an offseason. I'd like to keep Harkless and Nicholson to see if Skiles can get them back on track but minutes may be pretty slim.

I was referring to a cross match in transition where guys can't find their man right away, you said Elfrid "usually" guarded SGs which is just not true.

I can't think of a single instance where Elfrid guarded the opposing SG with Victor on the floor. EDIT: Except for cross matches or switches.

How do we see the Magic's starting 5 playing out? Payton Oladipo Harris/Gordon Gordon/Harris Vucevic Or Payton Oladipo Harris Frye Vucevic Or Payton Oladipo Hezonja Harris Vucevic If I had to guess I think we might start the season with the middle lineup and end the season with the top lineup and let Hezonja be the number 1 option when he's with the bench unit and be more of a spot up shooter with the starters in. I can envision a situation with our roster similar to last years Bucks where our best guys average 30-32 minutes a night and our bench gets a lot of burn and we mix and match the minutes on different night depending on who's hot and who's not. This is the first time since the rebuild started where I've felt some confidence in our bench. A bench lineup that could potentially be Watson/Fournier/Hezonja/Gordon/Dedmon seems like it has a chance to win us some games rather than last season where we were blowing leads with the bench unit in. Lots of time left though for trades and to add more free agents so we'll see. Hopefully we can stay relatively healthy though.

Good for Kyle. He was popular among our team so shame we couldn't keep him for cheap but I'm not really bothered about losing him on the court. Think he's a decent fit in the triangle and he'll probably have a career game against us now.
