I think he's mobile enough to play the 4 and he's a good enough passer and mid range shooter to make up for the sub-optimal spacing caused by pairing him with Vuc. The biggest difference (in my opinion) between last year's 1 seed Atlanta team and the year before's 8th seed was a healthy Al Horford.
-
If Atlanta takes a nose dive I think I'd rather try and get Horford. (I think we might try and get him in free agency anyway).
-
I didn't. That post was if everyone is healthy. I'm certain Napier will average some minutes per game but I'm also pretty confident he'll probably have 30 DNP-CDs.
-
It is incredibly difficult, I've been trying to figure it out since I posted that... Below is about as good as I can get it: PG: Payton 30, Watson 15, Oladipo 3 SG: Oladipo 28, Hezonja 8, Fournier 12 SF: Harris 16, Gordon 10 , Hezonja 11, Fournier 11 PF: Harris 18, Gordon 16, Frye/Smith 12, Hezonja 2 C: Vuc 34, Frye/Smith/Dedmon 14 Totals: Payton 30 Oladipo 31 Harris 34 Vuc 34 Gordon 26 Fournier 23 Hezonja 21 Watson 15 Frye/Smith/Dedmon 26 That's about as good as I can manage to get it when everybody is healthy. I don't feel too bad about having Dipo and Payton not playing huge minutes because it allows both of them to keep up intensity on defense and unlike last year we're not bringing in Ridnour, Ben Gordon and Willie Green when they go out. Still it's not ideal, I'd like a couple more minutes for Watson, Fournier, Hezonja and Gordon which I suppose you can take from Frye/Smith/Dedmon but I can't really imagine those guys not getting some burn. We'll have injuries though so it'll sort itself out probably.
-
Fournier maybe but Hezonja can spend time at the 3 and even the 4 in some lineups (similar to Middleton playing some 4 for the Bucks last year).

I'm a big fan of this move. It's never a bad move to trade a future, protected, 2nd for a guy who was a 1st round pick a year ago. Looks like Appling has little chance of making the team now. Shame because I like him. EDIT: And considering Watson has been a little injury prone it makes sense to have some depth behind him.

Nicholson had 31 points and 10 boards against team USA. He's had a great pan am tournament so far.
-
The NBA YouTube channel has a video up on Tobias.
-
Smart move by Jimmer. If he makes it onto their roster after training camp he has the shooting to look good in the SA system.Got a feeling (if he makes it onto the roster) he'll have a few 20+ scoring nights in games where Pop rests his key guys and in a year or two's time he'll sign a fat new contract with some team.

Who from the "good ole days" is still here?

And then I'll act like an OG and be all like "I remember when there were hardly any of us posting when I joined after the Dwight trade" -

Feel left out for not being an old schooler :(. -
Nicholson had a 24 point, 12 rebound game against Argentina yesterday.
-
This may have killed any chance I have of watching more than a handful of Magic games this upcoming season.
-
I think I'd take the over on that to be honest.
-
That's pretty cool. I'm excited to see what he does there.
-
That's awesome. Whether I can save enough money for tickets, travel and hotel to London is another thing haha.
-
Seth Curry got 2 guaranteed years from the Kings. They're throwing money at everybody.
-
That's a good read. Although it's kind of funny how the title seems to inadvertently imply that Tobias is ugly.
-
Considering Acy got the min I'd guess we can't have had much interest.
-
Maybe I'm a homer but there's not a single team on that ranking I'd swap rosters with. Obviously guys like AD and Lillard are better players than anyone we have but neither of their rosters excite me at all.
-
Didn't Curry sign with the Pels?
-
Probably end up going with Harvey to compete with Appling.
-
We've signed Appling to a partially guaranteed deal.
-
Jason Kidd only shot like 36% from the field when Dallas won it's title. Gary Payton played the 3rd most minutes for the 2006 Heat team and he shot like 29% from 3.

At no point was it almost a done deal.
