Who Will Breakout This Year For The Magic?
CTMagicUK replied to Catalina Maria's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
There is actually a middle ground between contender and Top 5 lottery team. -
Isn't Stiemsma that guy who can't practice due to medical reasons or am I making that up? Anyway I think he's a decent camp/end of the bench guy.
-
One of those things is not like the others... at least from an English perspective.
-
No way will we finish 14th in the conference. We didn't even do that last year did we?
-
Short of finishing just outside the playoffs and getting a top 2 pick in the lottery I'd much rather not be looking at lottery prospects in 2016 for the Magic.
-
I'm certainly open to discussion of bets. If nothing else it's interesting to hear the rational people use to decide which teams and games to gamble on.
-
I'm terrible at betting NBA but Im pretty good at college basketball. I made about £100 profit last season on college basketball. It'd probably have been closer to £200 if not for some terrible NBA bets.
-
Obviously they intended to give us 61 wins and just messed up.
-
In case anybody needed another reminder of how good the Vuc deal is, Jonas Valanciunas looks to be signing a deal for something like $15 million a year over the next 4 years.
-
I'm hoping for 20/5/5 and 2 steals on 46/37/85 shooting from Oladipo. I think that's achievable but I can also maybe see his numbers dropping with slightly less minutes.
-
At least there was a nice dunk by Dipo.
-
We play our first 7 games of the schedule in 11 days.
-
The Magic apparently have the most back to backs of any team.
-
There are a couple of awesome Vines of Dipo at the USA minicamp floating around.
-
Seems like EP has been spending some time with CP3 this summer which is cool.

One of our new assistants came from Dallas (Monte Mathis) and I read something a short while back where he said that AG was one of the hardest workers he'd ever seen and he'd spent almost a decade around Dirk (or something to that effect). It's people saying things like that that keep my dreams alive of AG blossoming into a superstar. But I'll certainly settle for Hezonja being a star if AG doesn't get there. :creaturedance:

Im 21.

I've got to say SVG is awesome to hear speak. He's intelligent, honest and entertaining and you don't usually get all 3 of those qualities in a sports personality. (And I wasn't even really a fan of basketball when he coached the Magic so I'm not bias at all) I think he's right about draft grades and about how people judges moves that teams make. People like to bash the Frye deal but until the day that it actually hurts us I honestly don't mind it, I also think Frye is a better player than he showed last year.

It's weird that we haven't seen Shabazz have a meeting with the press yet, wonder what's holding that up?
-
Magic Jordan Lebron Duncan Olajuwon Bird Dirk Reggie Miller Starting 5 features 5 guys who all work in the post so I figured my bench ought to include some great shooters to help that spacing.
-
The Heat apparently traded Shabazz because he's only 6'1 and is neither really athletic nor a great shooter... except he shot 36% from 3 as a rookie which is a better 3 point shooting rookie season than a lot of guys who have gone on to be great shooters.

Can't believe they did this without inviting Jason Smith! ( )
