Great game..I m proud of being Turk and I appriciate the effort of our squad.. we have great moments in those 20 days period..We ll never forget that and this tournament shows that, we will be BIG in the following tournaments.. We really showed our capacities even though we had a depleted roster ( we dont have enough reserve to fill the roster.. and we missed our best players icon_smile.gif ). Congrats to Germans but the other team either Spain or Russia will kick their *** most probablyicon_smile.gif

PS: Everyone will remember Turkey when somebody says Euro2008...

Spain looked more dominant than I would have imagined. Totally neutralized Andrei Arshavin who I may have overestimated.

Now the final against Germany. Should be a good one.

Go Spain!!!

Appears to be a few intel futball posters in this thread, so here's my dilema, honest advice would be greatly appreciated.

I made a bet for Germany to lift the cup at 6-1 odds a few rounds back. So, my 2.5k bet stands to make 14.5k if they win.

Odds for championship game are nearly even.

So, if I bet 7.5k on Spain to win the championship game, I'm garaunteed to walk away with a profit of 5k no matter who wins.

OR

I could just bet 2.5k on Spain and either break even if Spain wins or make 12k if Germany wins.

I'm inclined to roll with Germany and go for the bigger payday.

The caveat is that I think Spain is the better team.

Germany has 2 things going for it imo. They're clutch in big games and more inexperienced in big games. They will dominate in the air & are more physical.

Spain imo is by far the more skilled team. But, can they handle the pressure, can they overcome losing Villa, & will they play more cautious in the championship game?

Also see some goals being scored in this with an over/under of 2.5.

Thoughts???

You think either team is a big favorite here? You think there will be some goals scored or will they play more conservative in the championship game?

After their dominant game against the Russians and their overall good performance I'd say that Spain is the favorite to win it all. But don't underestimate Germany. Even though the Germans play inconsistent they allways adapt their game to the opponent (i.e. they played great against Portugal and then played quite bad against Turkey).

It's tough to predict the outcome of this one.

Spain has finally won a major tournament, it's been a long time (44 years) but I have a feeling we won't have to wait that long for the next one.

Spain dominated this tournament and has a deep and talented team.

I don't want to get ahead of myself but this is a young team.

Fernando Torres is 24

David Villa is 26

Cesc Fabregas is 21

Sergio Ramos is 22

David Silva is 22

Andres Isiestas is 24

Iker Cassilas is 27

Xavi Hernandez is 28

Only two significant players are older than 28.

Carles Puyol is 30

Marcos Senna is 31

In 2010, this team should be coming in, along with Argentina, as strong favorites to win.

Congrats EnFuego. There was no doubt in my mind from the beginning of these finals. Spain all the way.

Xavi was brilliant last night.

Your right though EnFuego, look out in 2010.

My early call for the World Cup.

They won't be very old in 2012 for the next Euro and 2014 for the Next WC.
