NBA Offseason 2013 Thread

If we wanted Iggy, we wouldve gotten him in the Dwight trade. I think we'll try to trade Harrington/Hedo/Big Baby, likely will only be able to ship off Baby. Harrington and Turk will be waived if we cant trade him, no way can I see them on this team next year. I'm a little disappointed we'll have to trade away Glen. Believe me, his black hole offense annoys me to death, but he seems to be a great vocal leader/locker room guy. He just doesnt fit on this team anymore, with Tobias and Andrew needing the minutes to develop. Unlike some of you, I dont think we'll trade Afflalo. His contract is reasonable, and I think we may even need it (the cap floor does exist, we'll be shaving off a TON of salary with no Al/Hedo/Glen). Also, if we don't draft a PG I think we sign Beno to a 2 year deal, maybe 3 year with the 3rd year being a Team Option. If we do draft a PG, I think we do a sign&trade with whoever wants him netting us a draft pick or low salary player.

Yeah, I think that we have to keep one of the locker room/intense guys (Baby and Afflalo). I think that Baby would steal Harris minutes so we should move him at any cost and keep Afflalo.

I've seen different people mentioning re-signing Udrih. While I'm not a big fan of his game (to say the least) he's used to playing with the other two guys that came from Milwaukee and could help them develop.

I'd like to see a young PG/Jameer rotation (with Jameer as the backup) but I wouldn't be too upset if Udrih stayed here for 2 more years max.

He might win us too many games.

Yeah but he's a RFA in 2014, the same year we're going to draft our centerpiece (Wiggins, Parker...)

I don't usually like combo guards (Moore) but Bradley is one of the few I can stand, and he plays great defense.

What would probably block a deal is the fact that the Celtics like him a lot, and we shouldn't offer him too much money.

There are obviously very good free agents in 2014 but the ones that excite me the most are Paul George and John Wall (both restricted).

Do you think we could/should make one of those guys an offer their teams wouldn't match?

I don't like to base things just off one game but Wall only had two assists the other day. If Beal wasn't injured he may of got more but still, Jameer takes a lot of shots and a lot of them are questionable but he still gets the assists done.

Here are Wall's recent stats

I'd say the 2 assists he got against us were like a freak accident, he's an awesome player.

The thing is, to steal him from the Wizards we'd have to throw a Max deal at him because he's a restricted free agent, but even then the Wizards might match the offer.

And with all the young studs we have, we can't throw Max deals around for fun.
