Dwight Howard to Star in Film "Amazing"

Recommended Posts

Shanghai Film Group (SFG) and the National Basketball Association (NBA) today announced a partnership to produce the first NBA-themed motion picture outside of North America.

The film, titled “Amazing,” features NBA stars, including Carmelo Anthony of the Denver Nuggets and Dwight Howard of the Orlando Magic, along with top actors from Asia and an award-winning Chinese director. Filming began on Aug. 17, and will continue in Beijing, Shanghai and New York through November. The movie is scheduled to premiere in the summer of 2011.

Great news for Dwight's career and worldwide recognition. That said, there's three things that better happen in conjunction with this:

1. Dwight needs to spend some serious time with Carmelo doing the hard sell on getting him to come play for the Magic.

2. Dwight should still make time to spend another week with Hakeem Olajuwon working on his game.

3. Hopefully, Dwight makes contact with a Tibetan free throw specialist, who shows him how to "find his center".

The most important thing. It was the first thing I thought of when I heard about this a few hours ago.

Make a movie, and he will come...

btw he's not coming

it's houston now... lmao

I really don't think that he wants to go anywhere but New York. Going to Houston would put him into basically the same situation he is in now, depending on Yao's health. No entertainment opportunities for LaLa or himself in Houston. Not many in Orlando either, but our team is better.

I know. What a lazy, fame hungry douche. All he wants is to be a movie star, he doesn't want a ring. I mean, have you seen his lack of training with a certain legend that rhymes with Makeem? He doesn't care about basketball, at all. Remember last year when he made a movie or 2 and he had a sh*tastic season afterwards? Dwight sucks. Give me Amundson.

I hope Dwight's movies are alot better than Shaq's. (He's not off to a great start  )

Dwight's name will be added to that long list of athletes who have became movie stars.
