Doublet23 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2010 i wanted to know if you guys would do this trade Magic trade: Vince Carter, Gortat, Bass or pietrus and both its draft picks(2010) Sixers Trade: Brand, iggy, Speights or holiday and the second draft pick Why the magic do it: It gets rid of carter although it gets a bad contract(brand) he is a pf with size that can at least give us size. It also gives us a young big in the university of florida product Speights and finally it gives us a slasher and good defender in Iggy plus the number to pick which we can use on Turner which is a stud and can play that side kick to Dwight in the future. Why the sixers do it: They want to get rid of Brand's contract and there were ramblings that they did not love iggy's contract and did not see him being the superstar of that team. It gives them a much needed big man in Gortat since they just traded there starting center and finally it gives them a young pf and cap space, much needed for a team that is rebuilding.
