JVG's hate for the Magic is definitley fake

Recommended Posts

During the Celtics and Cavaliers game today, Jeff Van Gundy said that he would take Dwight Howard off the all defensive first team and replace him with Gasol.

He has to be faking it. It's just too absurd. I couldn't tell if he was joking. Seriously, he would replace the Defensive Player of the Year for a guy who didn't receive any votes for any defensive team, whether it be first, second, or third.

And don't misunderstand my post as an "OMG WE GET NO RESPECTS!!!!" type of post.

I'm merely quoting the hilarity of the situation.

Dear Magic Board: SHUT THE **** UP ABOUT THESE ANALYSTS.

I have no idea why Jeff would say that. I can't even imagine what his reasoning behind it could be. It's definitely not Jeff "hating" his brother or the Magic. That is stupid. Really. Really. Stupid.

Dear BMP: Stop reading and commenting in threads you don't like.

emory, it's not so much "hating" as it is unwarranted criticism. Many people thought it was because his brother was the coach and he wanted to distance himself from any bias, but this was just so hilarious that it had to be fake.

Didn't he also say that the Bobcats would beat us in the first series? lmao.

Maybe someone else heard it too?

If I don't like his opinion I will create a new thread stating that Ric Bucher is an idiot for having his opinion.

I once heard this one guy (he was on TV) say something realllly craaazzzyyy and I was like WOW this is hilarious, he's on TV and yet he's saying this!!! I don't understand, is he trying to be funny or just an idiot!! surely an idiot would not be capable of having that job... I should make a thread about it, it would really go somewhere.

It's a shame I never made such thread.

lmao well, I wouldn't say that he's jealous. Maybe he's just taking this "distancing from bias" thing a little too far.

He's just trying a little too hard.

We know you love us JVG icon_wink.gif

Yeah, I heard his comments about the Bobcats. Obviously he was wrong, but that series was much closer than the 4-0 sweep would indicate. I honestly thought that it was going to be a very tough series that would likely go at least 6 games....of course, I thought the Magic would win it.

My comments really weren't directed at you man. They were aimed at people like Staybrutal who actually believe in their warped little worlds that Jeff would actually hate his own brother for reasons that would only make sense in his head. I have absolutely no idea why Jeff says some of the stuff that he does about the Magic. Some of it is from WAAAAY out in left field, much like his comments about Dwight being pulled off the defensive team in favor of Gasol. The one thing I do know with absolute certainity is that Jeff did not want to watch any Magic games last year because watching his brother made him too nervous. No one that wanted to see someone fail would have a reaction like that.
