A question on our Pick N Roll defense

As I have been watching every game this season, I have noticed a change in our Pick N Roll defense.

 

It seems as if we end up doubling the ball handler and leaving the roller (aka lamarcus aldridge, hibbert, haslem, ect.) open to shoot the jumpshot.

 

Now I don't know if they are daring them to drive at Howard, or what....but this seems to be killing us.

 

So anyways, I was just wondering if this was a lack of effort to cover the roller, is someone not picking up the roller? Or is this just the way stan wants the defense.

generally speaking, if we double the ball handler than the other wing defender needs to slide up to cover the open man, the post defender needs to cover the wing's man, and someone on the double needs to rotate over (after the double team) to cover the final open guy.

 

We don't rotate our defense fast enough.
