Yeah, just read that. This is getting really old. Am i the only one who thinks he can go as is?

Being healthy is a little more important than a November game in Charlotte.

You're wrong, Berto. If Vince misses 4 games in a row, this bus will explode!

Also, it is completely not premature to make Grant Hill comparisons, because comparing one player missing fewer than 10 games with an ankle injury, largely as a precaution, is completely comparable to a player who played only 200 games in 7 years.

At this point, I think it's fair to label Vince the next Bill Walton.

The issue is not comparing him to Grant Hill or even sayign he is soft. But we were told its not serious and that he would be back soon. We are already missing Rashard and Anderson, we need his scoring. We keep taking other team lightly and we'll have a repeat of what happened in OKC.

The comparisons of VC to Grant Hill may be unfair, but the Orlando Magic fanbase is very sensitive when it comes to injuries and tend to overreact. In many cases the overreaction is justified based on the clubs history.

When we got Shaq and Penny we thought that the Magic were at a beginning of a dynasty. Shaq left just as he was entering his prime and penny's carrer was shot by injuries rendering him uneffective after Shaq left. Championship chance squandered do to free agency and injuries.

Soon after the Magic hit the free agency market and landed some of the most sought after free agents in T-Mac and Grant Hill. The whispers of a championship began once the signings were official. Once again Grant Hill was hampered with injuries and T-Mac was unable to win a championship with the rest of the Magic's limited talent. In fact Grant Hill was a top 5 player in Detroit, a huge liability in Orlando, and is now an effective player in Phoenix. Talk about bad luck!! Championship chance squandered by injuries.

Last season the Magic started out fantastic and whispers of a young team with championship potential began again. What happens next you may ask??? Well the Magic's captian and all-star point guard Jameer Nelson goes down at mid-season with aninjury and is unable to return. By the Finals he was to rusty to be effective. Championship opportunity squandered yet again by injuries.

This season we are yelling for a championship instead of whispering due to an outstanding job by Otis Smith to better our ball club. Before the season starts Rashard gets in trouble and a 10 game suspension is rendered. Then a key championship piece that we must have in VC is injured in game 2, but it does not appear to be serious and he is listed day to day. As everyday goes by he continues to sit and this is making Magic fans worst fears come out.

In closing, the comparisons of VC and Grant Hill are unfair, but this fan base has suffered more shoulda and coulda seasons than any other franchise. Therefore, we have come to expect a huge injury and our championship dreams squandered again. Consequently, if VC does not come back soon get used to overreations that are based on legitimate fears of our past.

If Carter does not play tonight, he will have missed 80% of the games this regular season for a relatively minor injury. Why not a ten day contract for another player?

He's missed a week since the Detroit game.

I sprained my ankle sledding once, and couldn't put weight on it for 2, and couldn't play basketball for 4.

He tried to come back too soon last time, and made it worse. So the training staff is being extra careful this time around. This is obvious stuff.

Which would you rather have: Vince back for the Charlotte game, then out for the next two months, or Vince not back until the second game against Charlotte on Monday, but potentially healthy for the rest of the season?

Don't answer that. I don't actually value your opinion enough to care.

Everyone being out is really getting old to me. Vince has been out what a week and a half? Hopefully the team decides to show up tonight.

What does everyone think the odds of Vince playing tomorrow night? Odds of Anderson playing?

Odds of us getting blown out at home?

I don't know what planet you're from, but on this one, any thing dubbed an "overreaction" is by definition not justified.

Also, this:

is laughably ridiculous, and demonstrates a gross lack of understanding of NBA history. Hell, Bill Walton alone has suffered more than the entire Magic franchise has in their history as a team.

He'll have played 3 out of 8 games.
