    Magic Sign Jason Maxiell

This year we can't afford to wait to tank, we need to start from day 1, much tougher competition than last year, its going to be an interesting race but we likely won't be part of it we the team we have so far.

If BB is to be traded what would you want in return? I think it won't be easy getting much, since only competing teams would probably be interested and most of those teams are either set or have nothing to offer for him. I for one would not be against a trade with the clips where we could ask for Bullock in return maybe some picks altho im pretty sure the clips are out of them, maybe involve another team and get a young pg or big men. I say the clips cause they are the most desperate for frontcourt help since its pretty much Jordan and Griffin thats it. As far as Bullock, this kid really impressed me with his potential, and I can't say no to a good defender who is a pure shooter which we desperately need.

    Goal this year

As long as we trade our veterans and play our young guys a lot I can see us having the 4th worst record at least, we just have to encourage our young players to improve on what they are uncomfortable on, like Harkless I would really want him to improve on his shooting and not only spot up shooting but his pull up too, he is getting too predictable always going to the basket. So encourage him to take those shots, let Oladipo run point and let him have his mistakes, also would be great if he tries a post game against small guards, i've never seen him post up. Like I said it's unlikely but not impossible. 6th worse is more likely and I feel like that won't be good enough.

    Goal this year

Our goal should be at least 3rd worse next year but we have some very tough competition, looking at rosters as of today, -Milwaukee -Philadelphia -Utah Those are definitely worse teams then us with Charlotte and Phoenix getting a honorable mention maybe even Sacramento but I think they will have a better record. So we have a tough year, so lots of experimenting, Oladipo at pg, Harkless trying out more jumpshots to improve on that, Nicholson at center, etc... Obviously trading Afflalo and Davis will be huge as well, for either picks or young guys. If not I really feel we will be competing for a playoff spot and thats a big no no, we will be stuck in the middle of the pack.
  5. You make a valid point, but Dwayne Wade was a superstar player at that point, I see potential in Victor, but superstar potential, I don't know....besides I feel Dwayne is a little bit bigger than Victor, I hope I'm wrong and Victor doesn't struggle defending in the post against bigger guards, but that is the only concern I have with him, I think this leagues is transitioning into having a 2,3 and sometimes even a 4 to be similar size to make switching and such much easier.
  6. I'm not questioning his ability to guard at the perimeter, its in the post where im worried, any big guard would be smart to post him up and work him from there.
  7. I see a lot of potential in him, I think he has the highest potential in the draft, but I worry about his size, I feel he is small for the 2 guard, I think big guards like Paul George will dominate him, and history will tell you that you don't become a champion with 2 small guards, it has never led to success, but I trust in Henny and I like Victor's work ethic so maybe this is a move in the hopes he can transition to be a PG and become our future PG.

    The Trade Target Thread

That's exactly what I think as well, Turk fits well in that team, but there might be other teams able to give a bit more, if not I think its a good deal. With Nash, I know for a fact we can't put together the best deal for him, but if the Suns want to be nice (highly unlikely) and give Nash a very much deserving shot at contending, Magic I believe would be a preferred choice by Nash, and I mean getting Nelson is not too bad, Portland is a young team and I don't think they'd be willing to give up much for a 38 yr old rental as good as he is.

I doubt it as well lol, but crazier things have happend, and well number wise Turk is having a better year on a better team...hoping Mil gets blinded by that lmao

    The Trade Target Thread

Steve Nash - If the Suns want to be extra nice to Nash and give him a chance to contend without ruining his legacy by joining the Heat or such. Nash would make our offense a beast to contain, with all our shooters and Dwight. Hopefully Nelson, Orton, maybe picks or cash. Stephen Jackson - Recently heard he is not happy with the Bucks, they might trade him, basically same salary as Hedo, and Hedo seems to fit well in the Bucks, gives them a playmaker which they don't have and gets rid of a troublemaker. For us its a huge boost in defense, and if we also get Nash, we don't need another playmaker, besides I heard he good friends with Howard. Maybe do a straight up trade with them, include picks and such if necessary.
