He gave a top 50 player a max contract on a whim after seeing light us up. He than traded the contract for an even worse player with a more inflated contract and an extra year left on it. Whose game was based on his explosiveness, after having 3 major knee surgeries. How is Arenas just so bad at everything? I would give him credit for SVG, but that only occured after Billy Donivan, thankfully, reneged. He traded Ariza for Brian Cook and Mo Evans, another blunder. How does this guy still have a job? I used to post on the FloridaToday Magic forum 2 or 3 years again and it was baffling how people could defend this guy. People applauded acquiring Lewis. I like him as a player but what he did was financially strap the team for 6 season and then compounded it by trading for Gilbert. Instead of applying common sense and building a team around Dwight, he put together a win-now roster with a immature kid playing center. Now that Dwight is older and is starting to realize how to the win the window is now closed.
